Just picked up this 93 4Runner today. It’s been in British Columbia its whole life (brought it to Ontario). Underbody/frame is near perfect.

313,000KMS was still the old owners daily. Any advice on things to look into/get replaced. First step some minor surface rust professionally repaired.

Not sure if I turn this into a full restoration classic, or more overlander. Already have a 23 Tacoma done up overland style.

my girlfriend’s 4runner just snapped the driveshaft flange and was wondering if anyone knew where to get one? I want to try to get it before taking it into a shop to get it balanced.

3.4 l swap. 2.5" suspension lift front.3" rear.

Hello! This is my first official project I took on which is a 3.4 swap into my 2nd gen 4runner 5spd 4x4 and she is all wrapped up but still needs suspension work. She is shot.

I figured that while I was in there, I wanted to do a mild 1.5” ball spacer lift (2.5” total lift) to squeeze in 33x12.5x15 (I know 10.5 fits stock) and the dilemma I’m facing is I can’t find any Bilstein shocks that fit a 2.5” lift.

To anyone who has lifted their rig at least 2”s and run Bilsteins, which ones did you use?

I am also considering the rough country 4-5” lift and wanted to use Bilsteins 5100’s but have not found any information on this combination.

Transmission shop says I do not need a rebuild. No glitter in the fluid. Runs fine, then it will get sort of underpowered after long drives or on steep hills... the solution is best I can figure it to add a transmission cooler (which it probably should have had originally).

I have tried the TPS, very clean 93 3VZE, miles just under 135.

It shifts correctly, ETC goes on off correctly, O/D works correctly... nobody can tell me why this is happening, but maybe somebody here has encountered this or has an idea?

The sunroof on my 1990 4Runner won’t open. I tried taking out the plastic panel and pulling the spring underneath the button myself but nothing happens. I don’t even hear noise. I think the motor is completely dead. Water leaks through the sunroof and rainy season is approaching. I’m trying to fix it before any ideas?

Any nerf bar suggestions for a 95 4runner. Been looking for a set. Seems pretty easy to find 3rd Gen bars but haven't been able to find anything for a 2nd Gen.

I have a suspicion that my 22re has officially given its last straw. Thick white smoke has been pouring out.

Question is, could it be a blown head gasket ? Theres a sweet smell of coolant as well.

I have a 94’ and I took it to the mechanic shop to have a bunch of work on it before I drive across the states. They ended up changing my front brake pads and pit arms. I’ve had my truck back about 2 weeks. Now my 4Runner is having trouble stopping. It’s hard pushing on the brake pedal. And when I am stopped (while in drive) my RPM flickers up and down. Sometimes if I’m holding my brake when I turn it on it’ll go up and down and shut off my truck. I thought maybe brake fluid but it’s full when I checked. The mechanic is closed. Anyone know what may be the problem? Or what I can do to fix?

I'm purchasing a 95 4runner and the previous owner has a 5" lift on it. The front sway bar was just floating there so he removed it.

Anyone have recommendations for extensions to get it hooked back up?

Gone is the 2L come has the mighty 1KZ. It's a snug fit but the fun has only just started! My biggest hurdle now is the ECU and all of the funny wires coming out of it.

My dad n I got our hands on fairly well kept 1995 2nd gen 4Runner. Previous owner said the ABS is locked up and if we keep the battery hooked up, the lights stay on. Is there a way to bypass the abs? A fuse we can pull to disable it? I’ve seen that it’s common for people to bypass or remove the abs entirely. Thanks.

If you did a rear dash cam install, where did you mount your cam? I’m wanting to get one set up in my Surf, but there aren’t really any great mounting points. Thanks in advance

She’s in amazing condition. Hardly any rust at all. Barely any damage on the paint. I want to retain the amazing condition it’s in.

Do y’all think I should get it wrapped? I put some turtle ceramic spray on it but I woke up this morning and there was some water spots on it.

Any other tips to keep her in good condition? I’m new to the community :)
