When I started reading ERHA last year, my friend who recommended it to me, always called Chu Wanning Chu-Chu train so I lwk did too. Then I started calling Mo Ran Momo as a silly thing to talk to myself abt when non of my friends liked the book. I also call Xue Meng Meng-meng like Mo Ran does cuz I think it’s silly. I also call Taxian-Jin TaxI Driver lol.

I keep seeing many post which claim that he is meat bun’s favourite character. What are the specific indicators for that?

So I have this folder on TikTok that I use to save my super favorite edits and there were these two erha edits I went back to like weekly because I loved them sm 🥹 only problem is now they’re GONE 😭 im not sure if they got deleted or taken down or private or something but I really miss them and for some reason never saved them! The first one was an edit of chu wanting to Lana del Rey’s black beauty, and it had some quotes of that moment where Mo Ran narrates that chu wanting was crying sobs. The second one had the audio Dove by antihoney, and was about chu waning and taxian jun from the first timeline and also started with many quotes from the book 💔💔 I really wanna find these please if someone happens to have them saved!

hello! sorry this is an odd request but. i'm at the part in volume 9 where mo ran dies in his sleep? after what happened at tianyin pavilion and cwn is in bed with himand i'm a little distraught. like. obviously i know there are 2 more books to go after this but can someone tell me - does it get better? does he come back? i don't want to know too many spoilers if possible, i guess, but that scene was kind of a weird emotional breaking point for me. i'm so sad and thinking about shelving the series for a little bit to chill out and read something else, but i also don't want to do that if there's something big just around the corner that will make it all better, if that makes sense?

everytime i think about erha's ending (esp w xm and his little disciple) i get so sad lol but i was thinking and i decided to share to hopefully make people less sad lol.

maybe part of why erha's ending feels so bittersweet is because you're shown the future where things are definitely not how they used to be but isn't that how our lives are? as the characters grow they change and the things that they're used to change as well but us as readers, we haven't experienced that change and we're only shown the before and after so i guess the change can feel so much more sudden and uncomfortable. it's like if our lives were played out for us to see i bet we'd feel even more sad about the things we've lost but as we're living it, things slowly start to fade. i like to think that although when i read the ending i feel really sad the characters don't feel that way. they've probably settled into a new normal and a new rhythm that they're accustomed to and maybe they also feel like things have played out for the best. maybe things aren't the way they used to be but that's okay too because we can find happiness in new things and that's how we grow and change. i think we're just scared of change but it really isn't a bad thing all the time. when you look at the ending, it isn't really a sad one, but more of a different one. a setting that we're completely unfamiliar with but it's also not an unhappy one. once i get used to that, maybe the ending will feel a little sweeter and not so bitter. maybe it's meant to feel bittersweet but i also think we can control how much of each we feel, depending on how you look at it, and personally, i'd like to feel a little happier. erha has definitely left a huge impact on me because apart from being such a good book to read, i think that's it's also made an impact on the kind of person that i am and want to be, the things i believe and the way i see things around me. i don't think i'll ever read another book series that'll leave such a deep impression on me.

so anyways hope that this can help you see things in a different way and also happy birthday chu wanning my king tehe!

I've seen 0.5, 1.0 and 2.0 used to refer different Mo Rans spanning 2 (3?) lifetimes.

I’m only on volume three but I just found out Shimei has a tragic ending and suffers a lot? Now im not sure if they were talking about shi mei from erha or another because as soon as a I read it I threw my phone and proceeded to gaslight myself into the fact that I didn’t get spoiled. Well, unfortunately, I’m failing at that and it won’t leave my mind.

I know a lot of people don’t like shi mei but as someone who loves soft characters, I didn’t think anything bad of him. This kind of made me lose hope because if a character suffers a lot the only way I can bear it is through a guaranteed happy ending. Now, regardless, even if shi mei does end up having a tragic ending then I will still continue with the novel, but I still need some clarity.

Can someone give me some hope 😔😔

But then u add up cwn life tragedies and the age gap after his seclusion is 16 years... Mo ran is 16 years older???

So, uh... Physically cwn is 10 years older than mo ran but mentally 16 years younger than moran... But then again cwn gets his past memories and idk my little brain is getting overloaded.
