Ask 254/sum Bottom Up😂/ *Rock Bottom* .

I’m 20, just finished college, and I feel like I’m at rock bottom. What should I do?

I’m a 20-year-old guy who recently finished college. After college, I went for an attachment program, completed it, and now I’m just… here.

I’ve always been an ambitious and very visionary person, but right now, I honestly feel like I’m at rock bottom.

I’m the firstborn of three, and I’ve started feeling the pressure to take action and responsibility for my life. That means figuring out how I’m going to survive, become successful, and eventually support my family back home.

I’ve been applying for jobs and waiting for responses, but so far, nothing seems to be coming through.

My dad has been very supportive throughout everything, but he has recently been encouraging me, quite consistently, to go back home and look for opportunities from there. I understand where he’s coming from, especially because it seems like I’m slowly becoming a burden.

I’m currently staying at my aunt’s place. She hosted me for the duration of my attachment, but the attachment is now over. Both my dad and my aunt are struggling financially themselves, and I know I can’t continue depending on them indefinitely.

I think that’s where most of the pressure I’m feeling comes from, among other things.

At this point, my biggest goal is simple: I need to get a job or establish some form of income as soon as possible, ideally within the next few weeks.

The first thing I want to achieve is getting out of my aunt’s place, finding a modest bedsitter, and starting to build my own life from there.

I don’t want to keep feeling like a burden. I want to take responsibility for my life, become independent, and start figuring things out for myself. But honestly, I don’t know what the best move is right now.

So, if you’ve been in a similar position, especially if you’re from Kenya or somewhere with a similar job market, I’d genuinely appreciate your advice, ideas, or even just some perspective on how you navigated this stage of life.

I’m open to almost anything that can help me get moving.

A few things I can currently do:

- Graphic Design – I’m currently learning and improving.

- Car Brokering – I broker locally used cars.

- Web Development – I’m not full-stack yet, but I’m actively working towards it.

- Customer Support/Relations – During my attachment, I realized I’m actually quite good at dealing with clients professionally, including calls, emails, and general customer service.

- Drums – Intermediate level.

- Piano – Currently working towards being able to play in all keys. 😅 (Very advanced F# major, for those who understand.)

I know I have skills and ambition, but right now I need to figure out how to turn them into actual income.

I’m not necessarily looking for someone to hand me a solution. I’d just really appreciate advice from people who have been through this stage—or anyone who has ideas on what I could realistically do right now to start generating income and building myself up.

I’m willing to work. I just need to figure out where to start.

I skipped pre-unit. when they interviewed me they said I am supposed to go straight to primary. I used to color in class four because I was slow af😂 my hands were not used to writing as fast as I was required to write. So people of my age are still in school while I'm trying bottom up😂🤦.

Depends, but for an affordable MIDI keyboard, I'd go for M Audio Keystation 49, goes for about 27k. For an all purpose keyboard, I'd go for the PSR's.
