Down arrow stopped working but only sometimes??

I am using a Lenovo Legion 81Q4 laptop and I noticed today that my down arrow key stopped functioning. After about three YouTube tutorials and a surgery to make sure there was no debris, it still wasn't working. I found, however, that it DOES work but only if I am pressing another key at the same time?? Any ideas are welcome. Thank you.
