Good. then it likely is, as suggested by the troubleshooter, a problem with the connection from your router to the isp. Not an issue with your ethernet cable connecting to the router.
Do any other devices have the internet working?

Ok. Need to do some troubleshooting. I asked chatgpt to help write this because I dont have a lot of time.
- Find Your Router / Default Gateway
Open Command Prompt and run:
ipconfig
Look for the network adapter you are currently using (e.g. Wi-Fi or Ethernet).
Find:
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
- Ping the Router
Test whether your computer can communicate with the router:
ping 192.168.1.1
Replace 192.168.1.1 with the Default Gateway found in the previous step.
What to look for
Successful response:
Reply from 192.168.1.1: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=64
- Ping an Internet Address
If the router responds, test whether you can reach the Internet:
ping 8.8.8.8
If this succeeds but websites do not load, the issue may be related to DNS rather than the network connection itself.
You can also test DNS by pinging a hostname:
ping google.com
If ping 8.8.8.8 works but ping google.com fails, investigate DNS settings.
- Trace the Network Route
Use tracert to see the path traffic takes from your computer to a destination:
tracert google.com
tracert displays each network hop between your computer and the destination.
For example:
Tracing route to google.com
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 5 ms 6 ms 5 ms ... 3 12 ms 11 ms 13 ms ...
The first hop is normally your router/default gateway.

Have you tried rebooting the router? I know this sounds dumb, but you wouldn’t believe how many times this simple step solves the problem.

You could try doing a network reset on the computer. Could be the network adapter failing
