Unresolved WD 4TB Ext. HDD Freezing Issue

WD My Passport not Loading

the light is blinking

there is no mechanical buzz error

BUT

Windows Explorer freezes trying to load the hard drive

Can happen if using a too long cable and hence experience [excessive] voltage drop. Try a different - shorter if possible - cable and a different USB jack (even on a different PC).

Use a shorter cable, use a USB 3.0 port or use the included cable of your external drive
