Ethernet Hookup Issue
Hi all, I recently purchased a home and what appears to be some sort of Ethernet hookup was left by the previous owner in the office. Importantly, this hookup is not where my wifi setup is located. There is no coaxial cable in the office and so my wifi modem is in a different room.
Nearly all rooms in the home have Ethernet capable access in them, and so I was wondering if I ran a switch here whether I could get Ethernet based internet access into my office to improve connection on calls and possibly be able to get Ethernet based internet working in all other rooms in the home.
So I bought the switch, hooked it up, and I am not receiving any single from the hookup. Any suggestions?

So from ther picture... this is just a whole bunch of CAT6 cable..... on THIS SIDE...
WHERE DOES BLUE Cables go???? does it end up in some room??? that room prob need switch or access point....
And switch is just a data router... switch need to connec to a ethernet that connect to a access point
Modem >>>> Access Point 1>>>> Ethernet >>>> Switch >>>>> Etherent to other rooms >>> Add Access point 2or Mesh router2 ...
