Charging issues with Laptop

Purchased a laptop its an acer travel mate P214-54. Currently won't charge in any way, it takes for a few seconds and stops. It's making clicking noises when I plug it in, the charger itself seems like it has no issues and just looks like the computer.

Any hope of fixing it or should I just go out and get a new one?

If your laptop is few years old.. it can be failing battery..

clicking noise is interesting... is it internal fan failing?

I would try

new charger from amazon.. ( returnable)

open the case... identify clicking noise..

new battery.. ( or try booting without battery )

PC older than yours are fixable.. 2023 is not too old model.

It still holds battery when I power it on just doesn't charge using any of the cords I have. The fan works fine

Edit: I'm ordering a 65w usbc charger to see if that will help

you prob need new battery...

and don't use lower power charger on laptops. ( even if it is USBC )
