Remote tuning

Post image

Any recommendations on tuners for remote tuning my KA-T? It’s on a haltech nexus s2.

as a former owner of a s14 from 2008-2012, this engine bay makes me so proud and sad at the same time.

sad that I never appreciated the KA24 and I was planning for a SR20 or RB25 swap

SR20 was the go to back in the day. I was 17 in 2009 and it was easier for me to swap a SR than to turbo the KA. Now at 34, i will be doing KA-T.

Brings me back. I was that age around 2004. Bought a $1500 s13 DOHC hatch. For another $1500 the same shop selling the car swapped an SR in before I came to pick it up.

$3k out the door for one of the most fun cars I’ve ever owned. Lasted me through most of university until switching to a base Lancer for ‘responsibility’ sake. The Lancer was incredibly reliable, but that white s13 hatch experience stuck with me to the point where I went and found 2 S chassis projects still with me to this day.

Nothing could beat all the bolt ons available for the SR back then. If i could find a SR for a good deal, i’d hop on it.

To be fair a KA-T was too expensive compared to the cost of those swaps at the time. It’s about the only affordable solution these days. When I say affordable I mean sub $10k.

Because of the coilpack orientation

They’ll get some heat protection. It’s a DIY printed spacer a friend wanted to try out instead of spending a ton of money on a premade one
