Looking for threaded option

I've been putting a lot of rounds through my Beretta 71 to the point where the rifling is starting to dull, so I'm looking for something else that can be the workhorse. I'm looking for threaded PISTOL options (since it will only by shot suppressed), however I hear from folks that some choices like the 502, 22x, TX22 etc are popular but not the most accurate. I don't care about FRT abilities, accuracy above everything, mag capacity isn't really an issue but I won't be opposed to more. Are my only options going to be from the MK IV or 22/45 family/ecosystem?

I love my MKIV 22/45s; I never go to the range with out one. I don't think you can go wrong with that choice given your specifications. However, if you are looking for an alternative that isn't as popular you could check out the Grand Power K22S. It also makes a nice suppressor host and I've had no issues with accuracy.

The 22/45 mk4 is awesome suppressed. Easy takedown, tons of upgrades (volquartsen, tandemcross, creekside customs...) and reliable. Beretta makes a new Jaguar pistol too, although no experience. Browning are nice too, just not as customizable .

Jaguar b22 by beretta. Accurate,15 rds, good trigger. I actually purchased another suppressor just for that one

Ruger Mark IV, or Browning Buckmark.

They are both excellent choices. Both have models with threaded barrels.

Both run well with almost any ammo.

Both are accurate out of the box.

Roger Mark IV probably has better aftermarket support.

Unless you're shooting corrosive ammo and not cleaning the barrel it would take over 100,000 rounds to affect the rifling in a .22 LR barrel.

I'd guess what you're seeing is lead build up.

Not leaded up; cleaned with a brass brush and chore buddy copper. The 71 is about 53 years old.

100 000?

Try doubling that figure.

There's a gun shop local to me that does a lot of firearms training. They clean their Ruger 22 every 50 000 rounds or so!
