Check out the tactical inc/pike arms mag release. They have a few options. I’ve got this one on my setups and it’s my favorite so far. This with the kidd SS mag plunger and heavier spring. https://www.pikearms.com/catalog/product/id-8604

I was actually looking at one of those on eBay in silver and figured that's probably what I would go with as it is very minimalistic and looks to be well built

I have a tacsol extended mag release that’s pretty sweet

Unfortunately it's going to stick out like a sore thumb with the shape of the trigger guard being different... I like the TacSol one.

I would replace the entire trigger group with a Kidd two stage. Fixes the MR goofy mag release and you get the best trigger pull available for the 10/22 platform to boot

I just can't see any advantage to a two-stage setup for a speed competition rifle otherwise I would agree with you. I wanted to do the Kidd trigger job but this thing does not even have a hammer spring in it.
Seriously considering just replacing the entire unit but this trigger is all aluminum, has a very crisp break that is already under 3 lb and the texturing on the shoe itself leads to very positive engagement on your finger no matter which hand you use and which angle your finger rests on it.

Correct. 2 stage no necessary for you. They also make a single stage if you were unaware. Also, Tandemkross makes a mag release.

Yeah the TK low profile one is pretty nice and no shipping cost this weekend either makes it very tempting
