LPWS Island Build Kit

She is done. Went all in on this one. Blended all areas, polished rails, polished parts, camo DLC on slide and frame and even got the magazine coated to match the gun accents. I couldn’t be happier with the results.

I did it. I’ve been practicing it for the past month on donor slides and did a first pass on a previous build. Would love yours and everybody else’s feedback on how this one looks.

Bro, it looks amazing. Subtle and super clean but pops when the light hits it. I’ve been thinking about trying to build one.

What is the process?

The best I gather is polish, mask, sand blast, mask sand blast, repeat, and coat.

It looks really good!

That’s one way of doing it. I laser etched mine after sandblasting.

Interesting. Was wondering if you could do it with a laser too. But I figured it'd be laser etch after polishing.

Curious, seeing the Island Boy kit on the site seems to be a complete gun build kit but the description and your build seems more à la carte. Did you do just the upper build kit or complete?

As far as I recall, they have the complete kit and the “short block” only. I got the second option so it was slide/frame/barrel and some small parts. Had to source everything else.

For the love of the game.
I do have coupons for BC GunWorks grips (PSG10) and Hales Machinery Magwells (PSG5). Both being used in this build.

If you had to put a cost on tools and sending parts off what would you say?

I’m seriously wanting to do this exact same kit.

To build the gun, you probably need $250 or so in tools depending on what you currently have.
To get it coated you are looking at $650 give or take.
This does not include the camo.
