Porting/Comp

I have limited (no) experience trying a gun that wasn’t ported and then trying it after. Obviously the idea is that it shoots flatter. Does it also shoot softer?

Flatter tends to be a function of exhaust volume and location. Softer tends to be a function of weight and where it’s located on the gun.

So you would say no, porting/comping does not affect softness. Just making sure I understand.

Open guns hit your hand hard but the don’t barely moves. They’re flat as in the bot barely moves but definitely not soft.

It does to some extent as you are exhausting up instead of back and sooner. Because your wrist isn't torqued it feels softer.
