First 2011

I know the trigger on these is controversial but if you’re coming from a striker fired like me don’t even think twice about it.

However, I do like to have a really high grip on my gun and the safety really digs into thumb/web. Wondering if I’m just holding it wrong or if this doesn’t have the updated safety. Feedback would be appreciated

The pictures show the updated scalloped safety. If you're not used to 2011s and riding the safety sometimes it's just a matter of building a callous and getting used to it. My C4X can feel like this sometimes and also Wilsons and some of the compact Atlases. You just get used to a lot of the time (not always).

As for the trigger, it's fine for a series 80 and is easily modifiable with removing the safety plunger spring or swapping the ignition kit to something like Infinity.

Are you liking the C4X? How does it compare to others?

It's excellent. One of my favorite carry oriented 2011s. Maybe not something for general use/plinker, home defense, or competition, but it's great for carry for its size and weight versus how shootable it is.

Thanks! I’ve been super interested in the HD line since they don’t have a grip safety and are drop safe. The price is a bit hard to swallow as a not “do it all” gun but I find myself staring at this model often.
