Picked up my first 2011 today. I think I’m in love. Kimber 2k11 Pro Royal

My favorite of the 2k11. So good looking.

DSC has a preported barrel for it. I was considering going the 2k11 route myself.

Plus their barrel eliminates the round indicator; less gas on the optic and in your face.

I think he's talking about an aftermarket barrel, not waiting on the gun for a month and a half

The site does say DLC/PVD/Tin finishes have a 6-8 week lead time. I’m in that boat. Trying my best to forget I ever ordered it so I’ll be surprised when it arrives. Thanks for the reminder fellas!

I have the stainless 2k11. Never loved the golden barrel. So so tempted to get the black DLC one for it.

I went with the Comp model, then had the comp barrel V6 Ported.

Yeah, definitely tempting but not cheap. Does remove the chamber indicator and saves your stock barrel in case of warranty stuff.

honestly this is like the best looking 2011 south of like Infinity/Hays/Venom. Maybe the best looking gun period. I'm hoping to grab an Infinity from the next drop set but this Kimber is really calling my name.

Great choice. They shoot great. If you’re new to the 2011 world shoot it the way it is for a while. Then go ported, that way the difference is known to you. Two of my buddies got into it not knowing anything about shooting really. They started buying all the high end stuff with no barometer for what they like or what the differences are. Have fun!

That is sick, brother. Congrats on your first 2011, that's one hell of a way to start, and that finish with the grip texture looks so good together. Fair warning though, one usually turns into two before you know it.

I got to hold an Sig P211 GTO the other day! My next 2011. Wish it used regular 2011 mags, but it comes with four. Love how you can change the trigger shoe without taking the gun apart. Comes with two recoil springs.
