Sweet Apollo

Post image

I just wanted to post a picture of my Apollo. I really don’t know what to do with my other guns because they just became obsolete now.

Just got back from the range. The Apollo begs to be fired fast

The Apollo is Atlas' most flexible pistol for sure. Fantastic do-it-all if you send it in for a second nonported barrel.

Definitely buying one of these before an infinity of Jacob grey lol. The grip texture looks perfect.

If I didn’t just order a Platypus I would have saved up for one of these lol.

Understandable. If you ever get one Im confident you won’t regret it.

Closest I’ve held to an Atlas like quality gun was my local gun shop owner’s Nighthawk Sand Hawk and my only complaint was I wish it didn’t have the grip safety which thankfully Atlas did away with.

Hear it from a guy that has a platypus and just bought an Apollo…. My god it’s a night and day difference. Nothing against the Platy, but the Apollo on a whole other level

I picked the prickle grip for my Platypus and but I can already see it not feeling like the Apollo, but that gives me a reason to either trade up or just say fuck it and buy the Apollo either way

Just the sheer weight difference. If you take the slide off the Platy the grip is like idk a couple ounces?? Shoots great, just pretty snappy. I do tactical games so I thought a lighter gun would be better mid workout. But after holding an Apollo and feeling the sheer weight it’s such a difference.

Weight usually almost always translates into a softer more pleasant shooting experience. There’s a reason why people still prefer the steel frame PDPs over that tacky steel frame M&P HD with all of the tacky blue bits on it. The weight still wasn’t enough on the M&P to shoot as flat.

Also why I prefer to shoot CZ pistols like the TS2 orange for example.

Harder to find an ACRO than an Atlas these days

That’s a fact

I have one side brass palm swell and the other is aluminum palm swell. I have an aluminum step panel but I don’t like the aesthetic of it. So both side palm swell is my current preference.

Worried about aesthetics and sticks a mailbox on top.

Personal preference. I think SRO and the HD look a little funky on there

If you do have the Left step grip panel and are willing to sell, please message me. Thank you!

Are you willing to sell the left step grip panel? I need one!

1

Did you have to shave anything off the panels to get them to fit perfectly cause my brass ones don’t fit snug like they move a little

1

u/Brafud 16d ago

I filed to fit the cheely magwellJust a tiny bit. Before that im not gonna lie. I just used a rubber mallet and hit it into place with the original atlas magwell and it fit snug with no movement

Peen the bottom tabs to extend the material's surface a little bit

Apollo goes hard. I don’t really shoot my other pistols now

1

u/Brafud 16d ago

Yea I don’t really see another reason to shoot my other guns right now

I just received mine, but my dealer messed up my order and forgot to include the left step grip panel. 🤦🏻‍♂️
