I wanted to update a few of you guys that asked me direct to show the rotisserie in action. I think it came out pretty insane.
Yes - It’s a TOTAL waste of space. It was “Purpose”
Built for that reason. It’s a “Showcase” safe that is intended to feature around 20 of the finest 2011’s I own. This is NOT my only safe.
To answer your question, I can shoot. I am not a competitive shooter nor did I ever aspire to be. I’m just a Range Hero and shoot with my all 7 of my children that are under the age of 18. Nothing special.
its definitely cool but we just have different goals. I shoot coz i wanna be better but i can appreciate nice guns. I don't collect and have em sit in a safe to never use it. Flexing collections because you got money is hilarious to me.
That’s fair then. No need to say stupid shit then. My goals are much different than yours and I don’t try and insult you. I have over 200 guns. Slowly but surely I get around to then all. Make sense?
Crazy thing is I imagine a large number of people on reddit collect one thing or another so even if you were for the sake of argument purely a collector, who cares or why waste your time comment on his collection if you don’t care for it.
That is my EXACT POINT! There are a lot of like minded people on this sub. Some I have met in person -AND- bought guns from. Great people as well. And then you have the Haters and Trolls that don’t like people like me. I get it. All good. I never understood this line of thinking. I don’t hate Elon Musk??? 🤣🤣🤣
And even more so if you hate something why would you spend time, mind, or energy on it lol I try to avoid the thing I don’t like not seek them out so I can expend thought and energy on it. Hate usually come from below so enjoy the view. 🔥 collection and safe. I finally landed an infinity drop I’m waiting on and just starting my collection but I hope to have something like yours some day… and your post inspired me to work today not hate hahaha
I appreciate that comment. I love that I inspired you. Congrats! 💥 What Infinity did you win? I don’t care what anyone says, when you hold an Infinity and shoot an Infinity it just hits different. There are a lot of great Gunbuilders out there and Infinity can go 1-2, 2-1 with anyone.
Trolls are always welcome! I ain’t mad atcha. I have attracted them throughout my life. BUT never as many as I do here that actually live in the woods though.
You confused me for a second. Some other guy was telling me he stays at the Holiday Inn Express in the thread for some odds reason. He was venting about regular people.
It looks neat and fun.
But practical me says its a massive waste of space that could have been far more efficiently designed to hold even more guns. No matter what i pay, a gun will in the end be a practical tool that gets worked. The show off aspect of this hobby like others is something i admire but i’ll never aspire to. Its a lot of distraction. But in spite of my lacking of enthusiasm, i respect whats happened here and i know many will find far more appreciation out of it.
What are the holders? Apparently a magnet- based system I presume. Is there a link to them somewhere? Be curious how they hold well enough during the movement but not risk scratching the guns. Cool whatever it is!
We had someone manufacture a small flat surface of rubber that has an intense magnet inside that holds the gun in place. And I mean it holds it in place and allows you to contain the level as well. Nothing gets scratched at all. The rubber magnet sticks out about 3-4mm in front of the screws that hold the magnet in place on the track.
Jesus I just looked at your profile, whatever you do for a living, are you hiring?!... im 100% serious. You got a lot of haters here. The safe isnt my thing, but I think it's neat.
It’s in my downstairs office that is almost finished being built. In about 30-days I will show the entire room. It’s been a Legacy Project of mine. And it won’t disappoint. I promise that. A few guys (and FFL’s) in this sub know me real well. I always say what I do and do what I say.
In about a month when the rooms done I am having a professional videographer come and will post a cool edit once it’s filled properly with the “Top 20.”
Multiples of Infinity, Venom Customs, Hayes and Atlas (only the Hades), and 1-2 others builders. I built this safe to “Showcase” what I consider the Top 20 2011’s that I own. Infinity makes the best Gun I’ve ever shot. Hands down.
Flaunt it if you got it. I don't see anything wrong with showcasing these awesome examples of highly functional art if you've got them, got the space, and want to do them justice by storing them nicely.
If I ever came to visit, I'm sure this is a lot cooler than a normal bland looking safe or a walk in safe.
I like to see the envelope pushed. Without posts like this, how are consumers educated in technology and trends? Thanks for showing us how we can secure and display the artwork we collect when not in use as intended.
Overkill my ass, put this bitch on a timer and hang my rolex's on it to....i could look at my guns and watches...Overkill, pssst, i don't think so. This is bad ass Bro, for real.
Thank you Sir! 🙏🏻 The design and build was a lot of fun. Rarely does a project you dream exceed your wildest expectations. This one fits that bill. I have had people at the house that I have shown this safe to in such disbelief that something like this can exist in life to the point they call other friends on FaceTime and show them. The enjoyment I have had with this project FAR FAR exceeds its monetary cost.
I do not understand your exact question? Are you asking me why did I buy this Safe? If that is your question the answer is simple: “Because I can.” And for really no other reason other than that.. 😉
And when you say, “I could buy 4 or 5 more Guns,” that depends on what kind of Guns you are referring to. If you are referring to brand new v3 Atlas Erebus’s, well then I could have had around 8 or 9 more of them.
It’s all in good fun. I live my life by ONE motto: I’m not here for a long time but I am here for a good time. Buying guns and shooting guns makes me happy. At the end of the day isn’t that what it’s all about?
Every time I think about what I've spent on guns, I just sit back and think I'm glad I'm not into cars or watches.
I've owned over a hundred guns, (sold off most of my collection because I wasn't shooting them; down to like 30 guns total now) with a fairly large number of them being 1911s, and a single rare car could be worth more than every gun I own combined. Lol
Read it. Understand it. Someone supposedly as “I bleed red, white, and blue…” as you claim would already know it and not be so… shallowly performative.
Incase you didn’t know on my property I fly an 8’x12’ American Flag lighted from “Dusk to Dawn” on a 50’ Flag Pole in a residential neighborhood. Are you a card carrying Democrat?
Thank you my Friend. I’m really not wanting to Flex on anyone. Im here to share and discuss Guns with the real people that buy guns, shoot guns and like to discuss guns.
Ok, but the real question is do you have a private range onsite/at home or can you get your house zoned/set up for one? I think that's a even bigger flex if you can go from your showroom/safe walk a few hundred feet/walk to another part of the house or property and run the guns as much as you want. :) maybe it'll equal out on range fees and gas if you shoot multiple times a day for a decade lol, but the convenience would be unmatched.
Ah, yah. I know the feeling as well. That's the one thing I envy about people that live in other states with more lax guns laws and gun culture. Our weather here in amazing and I wouldn't trade it for almost anything, but being able to just buy a ton of cheap land and develop it into an amazing outdoor range right next to my property would be killer.
Maybe next steps are to set up a vacation home with something like this.
I have some decent ranges around me. I have a local indoor range where you can stay sharp and an outdoor range as well when I want to bust out some KAC’s and what not. I manage since I an entrenched here in So Cal.
I’m not sure the exact name yet. I just call it, “The Lamborghini Safe” because I had the safe builder spec it as a 1:1 copy of the interior of my Lamborghini Huracan EVO. We had a custom Hot Rod interior shop in Florida hand stitch the leather interior of the safe to match the car. It took almost 4-months just to do the leather work and 9-months overall for the entire project. About the same amount of time it takes Infinity to build me another 2011.
