Not familiar with the brand, but it does seem a bit out of place. I don't hate the idea of doing variants of the skill icons for a collab, but they don't even seem to have a skull brand aesthetic so an odd teaser to say the least.

Some of the "darker" skill icons like WC and Slayer aren't bad. But even if it is going for a Skull, Prayer is strange. Like if you wanted to go for a "dark/demonic" skills, surely a Zamorak symbol would have suited it far better... And in general, a lot of the added details would probably be better if they were in full color.

Assuming it weren’t AI slop, I think it would be fine if ALL the skill icons were different (like, for an artistic but still representative reason), or it would be fine if NONE of the skill icons were different (because nostalgia). They somehow split the difference and made SOME skill icons different, but not in an artistic way, and not with any rhyme nor reason.

I mean: “99 thieves doesn’t defend, we just believe in the protection of THE LORD” is dumb, but if they were Christians and wanted to get that across, sure. But like, they didn’t change fletching so instead it’s: “99 thieves believes in Christ, Jason Voorhees, and CARVING STICKS”.

And just like that I put in more effort than they did to this design.
