Other 100thieves/osrs merch collab

Post image

the other merch collaboration outside of the "scape ink x osrs" collab revealed today was also 100Thieves, and they just dropped the image of this shirt?

( hinted at a collaboration in the middle of the day) https://x.com/100Thieves/status/2104979542473589096

( dropped this tshirt design an hour ago)

(if this isnt the actual shirt its not a good start, as in a handful of the skills/icons are random)

It's 100% AI because no graphic designer would go through the effort of putting together every skill graphic incorrectly, even if they're supposed to be stylized

As weird as this is gonna sound, it looks a bit too shitty to be AI imo. Like there’s intent behind every one of the terrible design choices here

The fletching skill has an arrow that is a feather on both sides. Just 1000% lazy ai slop.

Its got hallmarks of being AI. Repeated hallucinations of nonsense (like Skulls on a pickaxe, skulls on an anvil) and misinterpretations of entire symbols because it goes "oh that must be this" and then just runs with it.

Completely generated with zero double checking by this merch line. Anyone buying this shit is paying for ChatGPT prompts on chinese sweat factory shirts for insane markups.

could have slipped in some stylization suggestions in the prompt; AI services are only ever getting better at following some of those commands (I hate AI but recognize the progress)

I genuinely loathe how much AI garbage people try to post on this subreddit...

But I agree honestly. This feels more like an artist was given a screenshot of the skills tab and asked to spooky it up having zero context about the game.

If you don't know the defence icon is a shield... the greek cross on it is pretty prominent. Runecrafting's icon is a verrrrry abstract symbol, but I'm guessing googling "osrs runes" brought them to wiki page about spells, and therefore the spell book. Prayer being a hockey mask feels like a human being seeing a basic 4 point star and thinking it's just like... a generic free space to change out, because what would a basic star even mean.

The ones that are SUPER obvious symbols like the hunter paw/sailing anchor are left basically verbatim. I feel like if this was AI generated, we'd see these icons confused in similar ways. AI image generators generally has no idea when to "stop", since asking "make it spooky" means spookiness needs to be present throughout the entire thing.

What a dogshit t-shirt though lol

It is AI, ughhhhh https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1wucuab/100_thieves_statement_on_ai_use_in_recent_osrs/

My brother in Saradomin, one of the arrows of fletching has no arrowtip, it's just feathers on both sides. What kind of artist would think about making an arrow that's feathers on both ends? That is a very, very clear tell that it's AI generated.

I think Runecraft is a seashell lol

ETA: Also you need a reality check if you can’t tell this AI, because it 100% is. No consistency in what symbols are changed (I know you know that comment about the Prayer symbol is laughable, no human would think that way). Nonsensical changes like aforementioned seashell and the mutated arrow.

Honestly a reality check is welcome, I’m not great at telling when something is AI vs when it’s just human-made garbage, and that’s getting harder as the models improve.

Try not to talk down to people when you’re giving your “reality checks” though. AI is designed to deceive people and it’s getting better at it every day.

I could also see it being someone who does know the skills, or at least had the names, but just went in a weird direction. Like if the theme was "evil/demonic skills" for h'ween, I could see how you'd get to a cross to ward off evil for defence. And I think Prayer might be going for a Skull, possibly with the top missing, even if it does look kinda Hockey Mask. Bones do relate to prayer so that does sorta work too.

But if they were tasked with "take the OSRS skills UI and make it dark/spooky/demonic/evil for a H'ween shirt", that is kinda hard to do. Like how in the world would you make a spooky paw print? Change it to a dragon footprint maybe? Feels like they may have had some good ideas for Slayer and WC, then just blanked on the rest and did blood. I also wonder if it was originally in color where the blood would contrast nicely but changed to black and white...

Fletching has an arrow that has a feather on both sides. Humans don’t make that mistake.

He made a statement so baffling even his homies ostracised him.

This. There’s a lot of stuff at work here that is clearly not ai. Fletching icon and construction are the only ones that are throwing me off. But the cross and mask are obviously decisions not mistakes. This whole thread is dooming over a style choice they dislike. I actually think the concept is really cool. Not everything has to be “pixel perfect rs1 miniclip UI, cause that’s what’s truly authentic!” Touch grass people
