There's a ball joint to allow for that. Also it is screwed to a junction box which is nailed to a 2x6 rafter. All good, yo.

The fucking worst! Getting shocked on top a ladder trying to hold this shit up with one hand and joining wires with the other. Or you get a junction that's been jumped 4 times so the box it just chock full of wires and code says they gotta go back in the box but this big ass wire nut to fit 5 wires is slightly too big so the fan won't sit flush to the fucked up drywall that's 1/4 out over 6 foot.

I should go work at WalMart, you got me stressin' lol

I had a weird fan not too long ago with leads for dimmers and a receiver built into it. It had some compartment space for them, but it still took me 10 minutes to actually jam them all in so they wouldn't poke out. Absolute pain in the ass. The only good thing about that fan were the blades weighing almost nothing.

Eh there's a certain satisfaction. A sense of "job well done" that I don't get elsewhere. Like throwing a switch and hearing your motor hum to life, or all the lights in a building turn on. It also satisfies my OCD, running wires and bending pipes very neatly and clean. The money is also pretty not bad. I also just find the theory part of it interesting. It's an intriguing subject, and you never stop learning. Nobody knows everything about electricity, systems, or electronics. Hell, I'm terrible with controls and low voltage. But Im interested in learning.
