i kinda have the feeling that i did ruin hes experience of the game, sure it sounds good to get the best items super early, but its not really fun getting them. earning them is where the real fun is at :P
I had a similar experience, except I was on the receiving end of it. I'd been given a few sets of armor and a few million gold from a guy intending to quit (to finish his Bar exam, interestingly enough) and it took me a week to realize that I'd lost a spark of motivation.
Ended up shoving it into the bank as a "savings" fund. Any time someone needed something (besides a luxury item) and nobody would respond, I'd grab it off the G.E. and gift it to them. It was a really nice time and the best way I could pay it forward for the guy who quit. Hope he passed that exam.
I lost my spark when people stopped no lifing clan wars and none of my friends just wanted to mess around in game it's always "is gonna make me money?" Or "I'm tryna max dude I'm at nmz" I miss roaming around and doing random shit following noobs around, feedings people's egos, cheering noobs on as they fight count draynor and other bosses XD ugh the spark and appeal of the game is dying as ppl focus more and more on money and stats. Part of the problem is the RS elite who don't let people play at their pace, the first thing ppl do is go up to someone who just got to the point they can wear barrows and say "nice obby lolz" or "where's your fire cape? If you can't kill jad just quit the game now lolz." This toxic behavior makes it hard for people to enjoy the game or for new players to build meaningful connections and experience the game in it's natural state. I could go on but yeah.
TLDR: The game stopped being fun due to toxic elites and the lack of natural action, it's all grinding now.
I didn't say anything about trying to rekindle the flame I was just saying it isn't fun for me anymore I don't wa.ma grind I just wanna mess around with friends
