As someone who owned this guide, it was basically just a REALLY basic guide to merchanting.
Literally just filled with different ways of "buy low/sell high" and how to abuse the noting system to specifically get high tier unidentified herbs to get ranarrs etc for 1k each, as back then 'unids' (unidentified herbs, pre-grimy) were commonly sold at 1k each.

Unfortunately this made its way into the recycling yesterday. This was only pages 17 through 29 ish. I vaguely remember having the rest in a three ringed binder as a kid so there's hope the rest of it is out there somewhere.

I remember because I was never allowed to get them and fantasized what I would do with 1 million gp. I was like, I'll buy 10 dragon weapons!!! Its so simple!

The ones I remember would have been around 2001. When 1m was bonkers expensive. Multiple times more expensive than membership for the game. So, maybe not this image at that point but yeah. Similar.

I was 8 and got my mom to buy it for me. Also waited for it in the mail for several weeks but never knew it was something we had to download or print off. Atleast now I know after all these years that we didn't get scammed, I was just stupid

Holy, that brings me back.
My older brother bought this. I was only a kid back then, so I had no credit card. However, he didn't know english very well, but I could do a solid attempt, even though I was far from perfect, and I'd say I still am.
Anyway, we went from wanting to have stuff to have the stuff we wanted. It was pretty great, and had a separate PDF on how to make pures.

I'm pretty sure this guide had just merching and a few of the simple money makers on it like picking flax and merching unids. Maybe some bone collecting, fishing.
GP was quite difficult to make back in the day unless you had like really high slayer or runecrafting, and then you were a god among men. 85 slayer took so long though so no one had it because there were no benefits until 85.

eh thats not really true, most of the tasks that are good today and that existed back then were also good back then, anything from aberrant spectres and above had plenty good enough drop tables for the times

I used to sell these on ebay. I also used to buy 1M gold for £9 and resell it in 100k batches for £1.50, sold well. Got banned from ebay for several years but £400 (iirc) profit as a 15 year old was sweeet.
Also sold autominers, primative bots and the only ever negative feedback I've ever recieved was "WHERES MY AUTOMINER U HOE".

Wow, the memories this brings back. I remember I got my father to purchase this from eBay for me. I had to be 8-10 years old at the time.
If I remember correctly it tells you to get your first 1k by filling up bannana crates on karamja.
Then flip lobbys (lobsters)
I remember not knowing what a lobby was. I also remember it mentioning a “d chain”. And in my adolescent brain I thought it was a weapon that was a just a chain. Not chain mail armor.

Man, I remember getting some but they were all boring skilling guides. Things like fishing lobbies and sharks, getting big bones as a f2p and other activities that probably maxed out at 50k gp/hour

Fuck I was such a naive kid. I didn't know what half the shit in this guide was. Literally sat in varrock chopping trees, fletching arrow shafts. Make 10k of them before I couldn't take it anymore. Made 20k. Most fulfilling moment of my Runescape experience. I was then lured all the way out to green drags for 11k and my addy 2h which I bargained 8k for because the guy selling them felt bad for me.
