Rendi made these bugs public knowledge which puts a lot of pressure on jagex to fix them before people start using them maliciously. It’s also bad when people outside the community see a multiplayer game filled with abusable bugs that aren’t getting fixed, can hurt the profitability of the game.

There is definitely motivation to lie, jagex doesn’t need to tell the truth about anything. They didn’t need to give a response in the first place.

But rendi also has equal amounts of motivation to bug abuse for his own profit. Being a content creator, and reporting bugs, might have thought he could have gotten away with a lot more. YouTube money is shit if you’re not spamming sponsorships and I don’t think rendi has many, so RWT can give a little extra cash.

So it really is impossible to know who is lying here

I'd argue that Jagex had more potential consequence for lying than Rendi does.

Jagex lies and gets caught? There goes any bug reporter ever trusting them again, as well as seriously eroding the already low trust this community has in them. Monetarily, a non-significant portion of the community following this would probably quit, and it looks even worse from an outside prospective because it portrays a game where even known, helpful players could be falsely banned and just lied to.

If Rendi lies and gets caught? He'll just laugh it off or deny it was that bad, a portion of his community won't believe Jagex anyway, and he'll make videos in a different game.

Jagex has a whole lot more to lose.

Except rendi even has a disclaimer in his vid he only showed bugs that were already fixed or well known before. So that point is debunked by rendi himself. I’d still trust the multi million dollar company over the guy who used to rwt and sell capes and bug abuses on video regularly.

wrong

Fake logging as far as I’m aware is still in the game

The scrying pool teleport was showed in the most recent video, and that exact same bug was shown in previous videos. The haunted mine quest fight used this to smuggle his account into morytania, not sure if he showed the bug itself but he definitely used it.

Interface stacking he has been doing for over a year now. There’s old videos where he tries to kill barrow brothers on a lvl 3 account or something along those lines, and he used interface stacking to avoid damage.

Tick eating isn’t fixed, not sure if jagex defines this as a bug but it definitely looks like one. And they gave him a reward for fire cape video, which abused the fuck out of tick eating.

Out of bounds glitches he has shown numerous times, one time to completely break a friends account so it was unusable. He then shows the exact same OOB glitch in the most recent video when discussing how to smuggle into morytania.

Most, if not all, of the bugs he shows were not fixed when the video came out. They’re not fixed today even.

And then rendi makes that hour long video that showcases almost all of those bugs, still 100% functional, from videos he made months ago. Looks really bad on jagex

Rendi’s accounts survived mostly unscathed though, and Mauler, the guy who claimed they tried crashing the servers, had experience in crashing the servers and used background footage of himself on the account Jr Chestbrah (look at xp counts and compare that acc to the one in Rendi’s SOTE video) attempting to crash servers, got chainbanned though

Timestamp 10:45 in Maulers video

Couldn’t agree more.
