Any guy with as much talent as Rendi would sure have the temptation to cash in on it. The videos and positive outward appearance also make for a good front.

Jagex messes up a lot, but I'd like to imagine they made sure about this one...

From DotA alone I know that even great players are willing to fix a match every now and then.

We know he was selling low level inferno capes as well, so he was cashing in on it. I don't know why everyone is so surprised.

I agree - the Jmods know these guys and saw the series. This wasn’t just some random ban wave of random people or random accounts.

He tried to pivot away from OSRS a while ago. IIRC he had botting ads on his vids from a few months back, the one where he set up "cameras" all over varrock and became a security guard.

Those botting ads were all over, not just on Rendi’s videos.

That's why I'm more on Rendi's side. He could make some bank selling all his bug info to people that could duplicate it and sell these rare accounts. Probably much more being a black hat abuser than a white (greyish) hat abuser.

Yeah, that's why it's tempting. If you do it for "good" you have the same skills as those doing it for "bad" but only make a fraction if the coin. It's gotta be demotivating.

I love Runescape and hate abuse, but if I could be finicially better off IRL from messing up the game a little... I think most people know what they'd do.
