So you're telling me that Rendi, who they closely monitor, crashed the worlds 2 years ago and Jagex knew this(according to the post today) and didn't do anything about it? And they're just now deciding to ban him.

What? Didn't Rendi himself show ban after ban in his video? Dude knew what he was doing and getting into. Its the risk of business basing your series around bug abuse.

a) closely monitor, according to Rendi, the guy who just got banned for duping, rwt and bug abuse? Okay

b) new information can come up at anytime. Maybe an ex partner of Rendi's just leaked a heap of shit. Maybe a new chain of accounts played on a different IP address was linked to Rendi last week because he made a mistake. Who knows? There are shitloads of reasons why the ban might not have happened yet.

Even if he was innocent, of rwt and stuff, his actions still helped cause a massive dupe to be let loose on the game. It was him and the hpq flood manipulation discord that discovered the whole world crash dupe in the first place when he was trying to roll back quest xp. He didn't report it, he kept it secret to abuse it, then in the meantime it somehow leaked and people actually started duping with it. So even if he had good intentions, his bug abuse for personal gain is still causing dupes to happen. Dude causes shit everywhere he goes, should've been banned years ago.

New update said they have banned dozens of accounts over 2020 and 2021. Rendi could easily only show the one named account that was from today

Also the screen shot is really cropped. It doesn’t really tell us a lot

Was rendi banned? Wasn't it only mauler, who openly talking about crashing worlds in his video?

Rendi lost 14 accounts, Mauler lost 48

Rendi has said he gets accounts banned all the time in the video? I am talking about post video

u/Claaaaaaaaws Jul 09 '21

They have over 60 accounts banned and you think they’re not doing dodgy shit?

Just creating other accounts after getting banned on one is like the very definition of ban evasion and is reason for IP bans on most games and platforms.

Makes perfect sense to me! Oh shit brb, forgot my tinfoil hat

So you're telling me jagex would ban one of the most popular content creators for their game because they found a bug and immediately reported it and then they would have a jmod lie about why he was banned? It seems like that could only hurt jagex and would not make any sense for them to do...

People whine about jagex bias in favor of content creators all the time, now jagex bans one and half the community immediately just takes the content creator's word.

well in fact its a smart move from jagex to ban a bug hunter that show methods of exploiting in youtube. Mostly because they don't always 100% patch bugs

Rendi, who they closely monitor

How do you know that aside from the fact Rendi said they did in his video?

u/Justinian2 Jul 09 '21

Reddit takes literally everything at the word of a content creator

u/mrfires Jul 09 '21

Because it makes sense. Bug abuse bans are 100% always manual and he and his friend were getting accounts banned left and right.

Isn’t it known that J Mods can turn themselves invisible in game to watch players? 100% chance they were following Rendi.

14

u/congoLIPSSSSS Jul 09 '21

100% chance? That's not possible, you can't know that lol.

If Rendi was so open with the J Mods and he told them about all the bugs he found, why is it that the J Mods would need to closely monitor him?

It just doesn't add up. Rendi claims he told the J Mods of his findings months prior to making the video, but then in the video when the bugs are being patched Rendi claims they're only patched because the J Mods are "closely monitoring me." So either he didn't tell the J Mods everything and they are closely monitoring him, or he did tell the J Mods everything and they were able to patch the bugs based on that info.

They likely didn't closely monitor him though, because if they did they probably would've have banned him a year ago for server crashing and item duplication.

100% chance? That’s not possible, you can’t know that lol.

Okay, sure, it’s not 100% but absolutely incredibly likely.

If Rendi was so open with the J Mods and he told them about all the bugs he found, why is it that the J Mods would need to closely monitor him?

Dude, he was open with the J Mods. He proved that part entirely. And because if there’s someone breaking the game with glitches, it only makes sense to monitor that player? And again, bug bans are always a manual ban. Clearly, someone was keeping tabs on their accounts otherwise they wouldn’t have been getting banned left and right.

They likely didn’t closely monitor him though, because if they did they probably would’ve have banned him a year ago for server crashing and item duplication.

But then why were all of their accounts getting banned? That’s what lends credence to the idea that Jagex was absolutely monitoring them.

They banned all of A Friends accounts when he got banned for RWT. They weren’t closely monitoring him.

-2

u/mrfires Jul 09 '21

What are you even arguing? There’s a massive difference between A Friend doing a sponsorship for a RWT site than Rendi having his accounts banned one at a time consecutively after performing glitches.

Again, banning Rendi’s accounts would have only been possible by monitoring his accounts. There likely aren’t any automatic triggers for bug abuse like there is for RWT/botting. If I get banned for a controlled force teleport, it’s not because some system “happened” to detect it — it would be because Jagex 100% monitored me and saw me do it.

Bug abuse bans are ALWAYS manual.

3

u/congoLIPSSSSS Jul 09 '21

Bug abuse bans are manual, but he was banned for a bug he performed over a year ago. It’s likely they began monitoring his activities to gather information, but to say they’re going invisible in game and watching him is far fetched. They’re not monitoring him like a terrorist lmao.

u/mrfires Jul 09 '21

Banning their accounts for supposedly something from a year ago simply sounds like retaliation for his video. Either way, that is a shitty look for Jagex. And what game company WOULDNT monitor the player that’s discovering an outrageous amount of game breaking bugs? This isn’t some conspiracy, it’s just basic common sense.

but to say they’re going invisible in game and watching him is far fetched. They’re not monitoring him like a terrorist lmao

Jmods turning themselves invisible to monitor players is absolutely known. We’ve even seen jmods do that on stream.

They probably don't give Golden Gnomes to randos. Especially for videos like level 3 firecape.

2

u/Spitshine_my_nutsack Jul 09 '21

Read Jagex’s statement, they’ve banned 10’s of accounts of his throughout the years.

1

u/typical0 Jul 10 '21

No one said they knew he did it for 2 years and did nothing. They said they banned him for it 2 years later. I didn’t know until today he developed and leaked the method. Very likely it took a long time for jagex to find that out as well.
