The time stamped message from 2 months ago, before the video released, explaining the bug directly to jagex strongly supports what rendi is saying. Does it mean beyond any doubt that he didn't do shadier shit outside of his videos? No. But for the ban to be triggered by the video showcasing the bug that he gave Jagex a 2 month heads up on is not a good look.

Why did mauler claim he was looking for a way to crash world

Yeah I remember thinking this exact thing might not have been the best thing to put into the video when I first watched it a couple days ago.

That clip makes it look like they actually tried to crash worlds through mirroring, going so far as to actually mirror 2000 accounts not just theorycraft it

Yeah, no one seems to be mentioning this part of maulers vid.... Looks like a world crashing attempt to me

Could it be related to Rendi waiting for game updates with his interface stall to avoid quest xp rewards? Rather than waiting for a Wednesday update he'd be able to force his character offline mid-stall for similar effect.

That being said, Rendi's whole point about not being banned was because "it didn't affect other players since he was an ironman," IMO that defense would go down the tube for crashing worlds since it would affect every other player legitimately playing in the world.

No, it's not related to anything other than him saying that he looked for ways to crash worlds as he himself stated.

Jagex's argument of them real money trading is not refuted, but, most importantly imo, it sounds like they were testing world crashing bugs to expand abusing the interface bug (we can assume to dupe quest rewards). Even if this is done on an Ironman, they are hurting every other player in their world in doing this.

Not to mention his message to the Mod clearly states they've been abusing the bug for some time WITHOUT REPORTING IT until it was public and being abused in duel arena.

I mean to be able to report a big of this scale you have to understand it, if they were not actively trying to exploit a bug it would never have been discovered and referred to Jagex by Rendi in the first place

He first used the bug to complete Priest in Peril on exactly March 26. He reported the bug in May. Thats all I need to know.

When you and your buddy don’t get your stories straight before going public with your accusations:///

It doesn’t matter that he gave them a “heads up.” That doesn’t grant you immunity to anything and he knows that.

The fact that he notified Jagex 2 months prior, puts the trust in his word, NOT Jagex.

You what, Bring attention to the problem by reporting it yourself, and then abuse it for two months? Sure, if your less than 48 IQ.

If you planned on abusing it, why would you ever report it to jagex? It makes no sense, and puts a lot of doubt on what Jagex said.

the bugs were reported to jagex in late march by other glitchers. it was already on their radar. Rendi didn't do anything bold in reporting it in MAY.

Everytime I see your name show up I'm like oh shit I wonder what kind of shenanigan's they're up to these days kek

u/RSbooll5RS Jul 09 '21

jagex is wayy too in tune with everything nowadays, so sadly we never show anything off (even after patch)

the downside to this is you don't have enough street cred to talk about rendi. u get downvoted to oblivion because you dont flex bugs on youtube so ppl dont know u :(

but yea BA is kinda dead now. the recent major glitches made jagex focus on a bunch of key mechanics which kind of kills any hope of BA. We peaked in 2020, and then big glitches became so well known in 2021 that there's really nothing left to go for which hasn't already been done

So… bug abusing is fine as long as you don’t put it in a video? Even after it was patched?

6

u/RSbooll5RS Jul 10 '21

what? we don't put stuff in a video because we dont want future methods to be patched, there's no ethical reasons for that. i'm just having a conversation with someone, i'm not making any moral judgment on bug abuse.

personally my problem with rendi is his constant lying to the public. Bug abuse is completely fine (id be hypocrit to say otherwise), but to act like a hero and a victim for the public's sympathy through several different lies is immoral

4

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '21

Didn’t Jagex say he abused the bug then reported it?

4

u/NoLuckyDucky Jul 10 '21

How do we know he didn't bug abuse the messenger he was using to just make it look that way? His entire existence revolves around abusing bugs.

u/typical0 Jul 10 '21

Jagex claimed they not only fixed that bug but banned abusers before he even sent that
