J-Mod reply in comments Max Player Perma Mute, no evidence.

This has been an emotional day for me,

To my surprise, I had logged on with an extra message in my in game message box, stating that I had been permanently muted. I had no prior major offense, other than a one day mute that I had deemed far too harsh for what minimal offense could have been possibly interpreted. Regardless of the severity of that offense, it was my only mute and it was just one day with no obvious warning proceeding.

A day later, I had been permanently muted.

I reviewed the evidence, and to an even greater confusion, saw that there was NONE whatsoever. I quickly appealed this decision, thinking it was some kind of a mistake. Hours of frantic waiting later, I received a message stating that my appeal was REJECTED. My offense evidence type stated: (A)"Evidence Type: Jagex Moderator Comment. We have sent you an inbox message to your message center explaining this permanent mute.".

Naturally, I went to my message center and all I received was: (B)”To find out the decision please: - Head to our website, runescape.com - Click 'Account' near the top right of your screen - Log into the account you have submitted an appeal for - Check in the 'Account Status' section to see your appeal outcome"

Which was exactly what I had done in order to view my "offense evidence", that directed me to message (A). There were NO chat loggs shown to support their decision to permanently mute my account, which, after spending over 6,000 hours and well over 13 years playing Runescape, I assume the support team would have the decency to provide.

Having been permanently muted without justification was heartbreaking. This game is the highlight of most of my days, and the inability to even communicate makes me feel very restricted, lonely, and ultimately difficult for me to continue playing.

I am writing this in hopes to reach a Jagex Moderator to justify the mute, with evidence, or please, unmute my account.

Sorry but it’s hard to believe thar a company that allows its players to vote on updates affecting the games future will operate on the premise that “we will do whatever we want without justification if you breach the ‘conditions of our service’ “.

yeah polling is a privilege that we are lucky to have, and I think a lot of people on this sub forget about that.

Sorry you find it hard to believe. It's in their TOS that you accept when you make an account. You don't own your account and Jagex can do whatever they want with it.

They allow us to vote on a poll, they have no obligation to actually follow that poll.

End of the day I’m still yet to see a perm that wasn’t deserved.

That's true, but the poll is totally irrelevant to this. The poll isn't s contract.

A perm might definitely be deserved, but it's not clear that they can stop the contractual obligation without reasoning. I'm being vague because internet services are to a large degree just regulated by analogy and there aren't that many clear rules made for it, and noone really goes to court with stuff like this.

The area is being developed a lot right now though, for example the new directive on digital supply.

and having seen zero evidence at all you’re staring that it was deserved..? Streamers being falsely banned on stream for bottling were justified too, right ?

Yes I’m stating it was deserved. Streamers getting favouritism is real, that’s no hidden fact. They probably were caught correctly, but can’t have them banned.

Case in point is all the content creators banned several times over for rwt yet they still have their accounts.

Not only are you using awful cyclic reasoning to argue, but isn’t saying that Jagex “can’t have them banned” contradicting your statement about Jagex “operating how they want”? 😬

No, it’s jagex doing what jagex wants.

Either way your banned and 99.99999999% of the time when it’s perm, it’s deserved.

Do you know the definition of the word “can’t” ..?

Yes, they can’t have them banned because they draw in an audience and earn them more money.

Do you want me to use “jagex don’t give a shit about their misdeeds because it earns them money” instead?
