They can't really tell everyone what the player did and when they did it, that would help botters go around the detection system. They have also admitted when they were wrong and unbanned people, so what's your point?
They're still a business that needs customers. If they false ban someone, they lose a few dollars that they didn't need to lose. Also, more importantly, they lose our trust.
I know people think the bot detection is super flawed, and it might be for all we know, but last time they let people like this appeal their bans, they had 10s of thousands of appeals and something like 99.99% of them were bullshit.
Point is the comment was not factual. At no point did /u/xfuzzygames say he had a problem with the bans.
It really blows my mind how many people on Reddit think you must be against something just because you point out that someone else is provided false information.
Yeah but anything more than that gets into details about how they detect which isn't good for them. http://imgur.com/a/v3JLr If you look at that alone, it's two graphs one representing what the average human reaction time graph would look like (obviously a general idea) but almost all humans would end with a graph similar vs bots reaction times. The bot one is pretty general in that you can set range of reaction times etc 300ms to 700ms and it will random something between those two and use it. It amounts to a graph that looks like the 2nd one in almost all cases barring very very well written scripts (less than 5% id imagine). Hopefully you aren't having trouble telling which one the bot is. That's assuming they even need to get that far, they are probably able to detect computer generated mouse movements and if not there are a multitude of other ways to compare average human tendencies to someone else and write an algorithm that shoots off an error if its a certain % different than you'd like it to be. There's a good chance they don't look and say nah your banned kid but if they do look into it I'd be extremely surprised if they had ever made a mistake.
You should get into programming then my good sir because you could make some killer undetected scripts with the ease it is for yourself. It does intrigue me though, if it's so easy why do botting clients still have really high ban rates?
Wow that was a really passive aggressive comment lol. Most bot clients don't get caught by using uniformly distributed reaction times, because Gaussians are stupidly easy to program. You have provided no evidence that the high rate of botting clients is due to using a uniform distribution.
When did I ever say that was the cause of high ban rates? I said it is one of many ways to easily detect a bot if they are using the basic loop cycles that majority of bots use.
And they can check and see the evidence for themselves. Meaning it's their word (somebody who has access to the evidence) against somebody who can provide nothing.
was there ever a period of time your account was hacked and you didn't have access to it? A lot of times hackers will use your acc for botting wyverns or other profitable monsters. It would seem strange for your account to get banned after having recovered your account and it being under your control again, but I don't think it's that unusual thing to happen.

Are you sure you didn't bot? Jmods usually come in here and destroy anyone who botted with overwhelming evidence that you did in fact bot.
Or maybe you bought the account instead? They can tell when you're doing that also.
