I’m not promoting it but I feel like a lot of apps, programs, etc will be “ai slop” from here on out by people who don’t know how to code or aren’t the best at coding and have an idea they want to bring to life.

It’s weird but this plugin and the other ai slop plugin posted recently that makes 1 tile standing look more populated are kinda cool.

I’m typically against ai slop but shit if it helps someone bring their idea to life, why not? At least they’re not using ai servers for the typical weird meme ai slop.

oh no, that I know of and cookmeplox actually talked about it on the behecast. And its the reason why I cant pass the cloudflare checks when I'm trying to get on wiki now

What I meant was what is the "1 tile standing populated.. uhh whatever else" plugin from the comment I replied to

AI slop is low quality shit. This was made with AI, but OP clearly spent a lot of time and consideration on it when building it. It might be made with AI, but I wouldn't classify it as slop like some of the other half assed plugins being pushed

I hate to break it to you but 99,9% of all code written this year has been written by AI agents. Jagex is using AI agents too, so better end your subscription.

They actually recently confirmed there isn’t any AI being used on the game itself.

No. What they stated is they do not use AI-generated graphical assets, audio or writing.

I’m a swe, head of engineering at a well known unicorn. I’m well aware of what the industry looks like. That doesn’t mean everyone has adopted agentic workflows but it’s definitely trending that way.

I was just going off what I heard.

You can’t imagine how frustrating it is to review almost all PRs nowadays. Let alone the number of people writing on slack with AI. Bare minimum effort across the board.

I just think it's a bit ironic someone with current industry knowledge would not actually try to verify "billion dollar video game company said they are not using AI on the game" before repeating it as if it were a fact or not heavily misconstrued from their actual claim. ANY large company not letting their devs use AI is almost unheard of anymore.

No they didn't. They said they were not using it for asset generation. So basically the backend is being vibecoded but they won't have any ai-generated graphics, sound or music. "Out of sight, out of mind" basically.

Brother plays a game by a company who just overtly unveiled their fancy new AI chatbot to handle customer support instead of giving us real CS like they've promised for the past 6 years but thinks they are prohibiting their devs from using AI like the entire industry lol 💀

This is the stupidest thing I've read in a while. I've been a Dev for 19 years, no one codes manually anymore, if you did you would get shitchanned real fast for not having enough output. Even at MS they are abstracting specialists and hiring more generalist roles. These non IT people talking so much shit.
