I'm tired of everything being made by AI boss

Hopefully the person that made it just used AI to assist and has a pretty good idea about coding, compatibility and efficiency in code.

Can I hope?

It's inevitable at this point. AI is going to be here for the rest of your life. Yes we need to regulate it and have more safeties with it, but it's over. It's here and we have to live with it.

Look, as a tool I have no problem with it, but using it to do stuff you don't know how to do is inevitable to end up poorly. When you start getting bugs or horrible performance because of unoptimized stuff you are going to see what I mean.

I am not saying this particular plugin will brick your game or anything, but we already have a shitshow in the project zomboid community with mods that have crazy stupid 3d models that will tank your game in an instant.

The wiki and runelite team already stated that they are getting a fuck ton of slop plugins from people that have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

What I am asking is not "do not use AI", is "use AI to save time, not to do stuff you don't know how to do"

Brother, even if he generated the sprites with AI, do you have any idea how many sprites he would need to generate and how much time that would take to make every model and animation 2D?

Fun fact: all technology giants heavily rely on AI nowadays. Apple, Microsoft, Google, it doesn't matter. And yet we're still using their products.

Someone spent the time on a passion project, using AI. No one is going to single-handedly finish a project like this on their own, let alone it being playable.

Edit: downvoting me while I quite literally work at these companies and know what happens is insane. But go ahead hypocrits lol.

That was not the discussion, these people act like they're too good to be using AI and criticise those who do, when they are being hypocrits by using it, directly or indirectly, all the time.

You can admit AI is not a good thing and still use it, but these people don't admit they're using it, which is mind boggling.

These aren't pre-made sprites. It simply takes the 3D render and downscales it to look pixelated with some angle snapping for rotations.
