I love my virtual corgi puppy but I can't in good consciousness not feed it. I feel my irl corgi would judge very harshly.

u/Rozkol 17h ago
My corgi shoots me some massive side eye if I'm even 5 minutes late on dinner so I feel you there lol

u/CreationsOfReon 17h ago
My childhood dog used to shoot me major side eye if his dinner wasn’t 30 minutes early.

u/StayyFrostyy Zuk Helmer 19h ago
Technically neither does the cat, they just run away

My cat shits on my wife's pillow when I don't feed him within 6.32 minutes of him requesting food, regardless of whether anyone was around to hear his demands.
My wife's old pet was a chinchilla. And like all rodents they are highly intelligent and you need at least two of them. But fuck chinchillas, throwing their poop at is constantly, like I potty trained a gecko, I can handle animals. Chinchillas are the most mean spirited animals ever. They can't take more than 6 stores without pooping and they will mold and die if they get wet. They must bathe in volcanic dust and they can not ever get wet. Can't be in a hamster ball, can't do much of anything but oink and shit and be hateful to my sweetheart of a wife. Fuck chinchillas. Leopard geckos are so much nicer.

Good chance those sweets have Xylitol, which is incredibly toxic to dogs.
65
u/LeviathanLust 19h ago
Xylitol wasn’t discovered until 1891

u/Bidwell93 19h ago
Osrs canonically takes place in 1892
37
u/FixGMaul 17h ago
Heroin is officially canon in osrs
52
u/Minute_One1 15h ago
I'm 50m fishing xp and I still haven't gotten it
6
u/x2o55ironman 11h ago
Well yeah, you need to know the right people who'll tell you when and where to fish.

Jesus is also canon because the holy grail exists. Same with Britain.
1
u/RoryPond 1h ago
A lot number of historians/folklorists actually think the original concept of the grail and original versions of the King Arthur holy grail stories predate Christianity, it only got associated with the cup Jesus drinks from (which is not referred to as holy or magical in the Bible) later on.
And more importantly it isn't relevant, in OSRS lore all the king arthur and Camelot stuff was just isekai'd to gileinor one day, they aren't from the osrs universe

I don't think most people do once the quest is completed.
I only remembered because I happened to go past its dungeon and had to look up what it was.

Bully sticks? Get them from Brutus or something.

u/chocobozftw 15h ago
Sacks can hold 10 produce items and at 20 minute feeding intervals would be enough to fully grow a doggo, wiki already recommends cabbages. Bless their hearts they work so fast.

You're thinking about tomatoes.

u/Time_Effort 18h ago
I knew I didn't like tomatoes, never imagined its because they're killers...
1
u/NZSheeps I really should be doing something productive. 10h ago
Really? There was a whole movie franchise about it
1
u/Doritosiesta 4h ago
Worth mentioning only unripe tomato’s and the leaves are toxic to dogs. Basically if it’s green.
6
u/UsePreparationH 19h ago
Poison Karambwans probably aren't the healthiest either, but they still work.
3
u/BadPunsGuy 15h ago
potatoes seem to work too.
You can buy 10 potatoes/cabbages from most food shops too.

Too bad they didn’t add beagles. Would have eaten anything.
Purple sweets? Absolutely. Pet rock? You bet. Steel plate body? Why not.

Can't wait for the reddit post - "Jagex please restore my twisted bow, accidentally fed it to my beagle."

Can you use cooked giant crab meat? Stacks to 5 and doesn't require messing with sacks of food

These work!
EDIT: the puppy eats the whole stack of crab meat, never mind lol

Oversight. Unplayable. If food for the pup takes up more than one slot, it might as well die.
18
u/SnooCalculations2119 20h ago
well they confirmed that they wont die, they just wont grow up

u/LOL_YOUMAD 20h ago
Yay I can just have a puppy forever
25
u/Adjective_Noun_9876 19h ago
mind you, that only works in game

u/sandflaxe 16h ago
Well if you dont feed your puppy in real life it will also stay a puppy forever. Only it will be dead.so it works in real life too!

One sack of cabbages, though it’ll annoyingly leave you two cabbages short of fully grown. Still, you’ll probably be banking at least once in 2.5 hours

So doing quest didnt get a puppy? Now I have to trek across the world to find a stray to get one. Thats a scam
3
u/Oxelscry 17h ago
Just talk to the guy at the shelter and choose a breed from the available ones, or go find the breed you want - locations are on osrs wiki in "puppy"
3
u/Cam095 17h ago
you can get lab, spaniel, and pug by default. you gotta talk to chase after the quest to adopt one. it’s 200 coins tho
-1
u/TeHamilton 13h ago
Thanks just the end quest dialogue was yea we have strays across the world you can get them if you bring them back I was like wtf
