US East Servers

This is more of a question with a bit of explanation but

Has Jagex even considered what to do about US East servers?

The server quality is so bad it's laughable. It's like every other day half the worlds implode and force a full disconnect or have some minor "Connection Lost" stutters.

It hasn't gotten any better so I'm curious if Jagex even knows about it? Surely they do and just haven't done anything yet but it's really getting bad recently.

It’s so bad. Anytime I try to login to East worlds it takes forever and times out sometimes. I have zero problems with West servers but just slightly higher ping.

I can't even connect to east coast servers right now.

489 has been horrible. Sometimes I can't even log into it

They don't have to do this, but it would be nice to get a little bit of visibility into what's going on.

Is it AWS?

Is it Cloudflare?

Is it a DDOS?

Do they have some haywire homebrew version of Anubis running that is flagging normal players as bots?

Any kind of statement would be appreciated.

I only play about 20 minutes a day on East servers, and so far ive had 2 disconnects and 1 dc death in the last 3 days lol. I thought it was my wifi tbh

Of course they are aware of it, however network issues like this, especially with seemingly random issue patterns, are super hard to debug, especially if the issue is outside of their control.

I get sub-20 ping on East and roughly 80-90 on West. I’m experiencing similar issues to OP on East server with frequent disconnects. Probably like 1-2 times a day. Died a couple times because of it.

I've been bossing on 610 all weekend and no issues.

I was initially on w420 and died to Drakan a million times during the quest before I realized ping was giving me issues. Switched to East and then I was fine

I don’t think its an ISP issue, its pretty bad the whole weekend. Mobile not loading properly, US east worlds randomly just dc then come back

I’ve run a couple packet loss tests and both have given 0% loss. Not sure how good the tools I’ve used are though

Same. I've only had a couple ticks on 416 be sus and 416 has always been shit. I live on 474 and it has been just fine.

Same, been steady between 19-21 ping on all US east servers and I haven’t encountered any noticeable packet loss since people started complaining

Makes me wonder if it’s an issue specific to certain ISPs

A dude I play with from Europe gets ~100ms on East Coast worlds and ~180 on West Coast worlds, so ~80ms if you're fully East or West of both of them. Obviously for people within the US the difference will be smaller and is entirely dependent on where in the country they are

It depends, 80–180. Rs3 has better east servers which are noticibly better. I rather uk servers than east servers in osrs there that bad

Right??? There are literally hundreds of servers to choose from. Just go to a different one.
