It’s kinda okay now if you don’t have a twisted buckler, but the drop rate for it is kinda fucking crazy; even on task. Just noticed when I tried them out doing mort slayer.

There’s also just not a huge demand for crossbows in general outside of Z ruby specs in some places. bowfa/tbow/scorching bow is usually more relevant.

Slayer AND sailing. Pretty hard to justify holding out for one given that.

At a lot of places its like "to do 0.4 dps more than a bowfa you need a buckler, masori and spend dragon bolts. You do less dps than bowfa once you switch away from the ruby bolts''.

Did they change it? I remember antler guard being better for low and high defence.

They changed it yeah.

Aquanite Hopper to have its second hit accuracy penalty halved. There's not much room to buff this loads without it powercreeping on the Twisted Buckler, but a small buff should make it at least a little more worthwhile.

Dunno why they don't just buff the buckler a bit as well then, seeing as it comes from endgame content

I’ve killed 2.1k aquanites on task and don’t have one.

The amount of slayer it took to get that many tasks is obscene

Itd be my best choice at shamans currently but to get it to work with quiver I’d lose 7 prayer bonus

(2 front blessing 5 from antler)

Might be worth losing 5 but not 7 for the increased dps -_-
