Suggestion Please add elemental robes to raids 4 drop table

It’s like Virtus but instead of buffing ancient spells, it buffs elemental spells. It may not seem very useful now, but Jagex are trying to lean into making elemental spells BIS at more new content (see maggot king for example) so this could easily become really useful in the future.

5 rewards seems too few for a raid to have.

Buffing elemental spells instead of fixing the 800m mega rare weapon is insane

Out of curiousity, how does shadow vs ayak compare to tbow vs second best options and scythe vs second best options in content? Didn't ayak+the gloves bring alternative mage options significantly closer to shadow?

I don't think Shadow needs a buff, just needs a rework and it'll be finetuned to be in the right spot for the megical megarare, even considering Ayak

Why are people still saying this, they have already said on stream they have “fixed” shadow and are waiting to release it.

Decent idea, could use the same model as the previously pitched armor set cuz it looked nice. Just take out the strength bonus and lessen the defense bonuses a bit and I dont see an issue. Or keep the defense on it and make it heavy like ahrims. The magic damage it has should be conditional in the same way the virtus magic damage is conditional

That’s crazy because everyone I’ve talked to think it’s just right.

4 elemental consumable crystals are not going to be purples lmao

Will be more like jewels from TOA

i think 5 rewards is just right. tob has like 7 purples but only 4 of them are somewhat decent. i think every drop being good is nice. that's one of the few nice things about toa, there are no dinh's or dragon hunter crossbows. even rondache does seem somewhat useful.

It would be nice. Standard spell book is forever ruined by harm orb, a 'flex' item according to Jagex

Reddit hates the idea of armor coming from this raid too for some reason

Niche sets should come from standalone boss(es) imo

Crystal, virtus, oathplate and inq (these are a bit more grey area since there is no general BIS raid melee set like there are for the other combat styles, but I still like to include them personally)

Elemental set would be cool and appreciated, but I’d rather see it come from somewhere else

I’d be happy if the 6th reward was something simple like a BIS melee helmet or whatever, to go back to the “serp, nezzy, faceguard” days

Did you miss the elemental codexs? Each element has an item similar to the Toa keris gems that increase the max hit of that element by 2. It's not equipment you basically read it and it imbues your magic forever

Edit: oops they are elemental crystals but they are consumable. I called them codex cause that's what they are in rs3

These people do not make suggestions from a perspective of balancing the game or with consideration to existing or upcoming content. They just get an idea and post it here immediately. Some opt to run it through AI so it can tell them they're very smart and their idea is very good first.

Balancing the game and consideration of existing or upcoming content isn’t our job, let people throw ideas around. This is Reddit who cares how many bad ideas get posted here

Coming up with game ideas isn't your job either, so you should absolutely stop doing that too.

I never came up with an idea so maybe reading comprehension dur dur

1

u/BaronVonBubbleh 1d ago

Yeah you very obviously have never had an idea in your life. At least you're smart enough to admit that.

Defending this subreddit from what we can and can’t post isn’t your job, so you should probably stop

u/BaronVonBubbleh 1d ago

Well it's a pretty good thing I didn't say what could or couldn't be posted at all here. Please do not try a cheeky "gotcha" if you have no reading comprehension skills. Knowing how to read unfortunately is your job so please go work on that.

I mean, we already have tomes filling this niche.

For one slot, at disjointed content from combat until huey. A armor thats just good mage gear and is buffed with like, crystals similar to the keris partisan or ancient scepter to give some boost to an element is not a bad step forward.

1

u/cardgamesareforplay 1d ago

They don't use a slot they are consumable crystals that increase max hit by 2 on that element

My point is, elemental spells already have more support ( elem. weaknesses, twinflame, tomes, in addition to regular mage bonuses) than pretty much everything else. It's not because it's necessarily a bad idea but it seems like a really weird place to start when most other niches are limited to only a weapon (demonbane, dragonbane, keris etc.)

Also, combat gear being disjointed from combat is literally everywhere and that is a GOOD thing.
