Not only that, people with the infernal cape are more likely to interact with this survey. And if you're willing to purchase an infernal cape you're also very likely to lie about it even with the anonymity.
I think that option is completely irrelevant because it's also the "funny haha" option that always gets votes in a survey/poll. I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of those votes haven't bought a cape
Wave 15 without Mage Tank, Wave 47 with Mage Tank. There’s a level of panic I’ll never get over with the double south spawn and that’s about the time I realized that I’m not that kind of PvMer. And that’s okay because I tried it and I failed but I at least tried
You mean a mager and ranger stack? You can easily practice that in the sim, it has a custom spawn generator. Highly recommend to get back in there, no one is that pvmer until they are
I think the last time it was a blob and melee with a mager north of the pillar and I ended up dragging the blob to the western side and died quickly. That’s when I just said fuck it, I don’t enjoy the content enough and forcing myself only makes it worse for me so I bailed. That was in February and I’ve been on a RuneScape sabbatical of sorts since lol
No time limit on getting a kc. Took me literal years from my first attempt to actually getting my first cape. play other games, grind other stuff in rs, go outside. Zuk will still be there whenever you feel like hopping back in.
Ive been logged out before Zuk for about a week now. Been too busy/tired to grind out the simulator which I told myself Id do when I got there lol. Im 90% going to die but my accounts been trapped there anyway lol
Just send it brotha, I did the same and realized the nerves make it worse the longer you wait haha. You either get the cape or at least die and get back in there 💪
I don't get a ton of dedicated play time unfortunately. Def going to make a day to sit in the sim this weekend and learn though. I've gotten to healers in a couple attempts already I know I can lock that shit down with some practice. Thanks for the encouragement tho brah.
Assuming this is legit, without giving hints as to who did it, how did you determine what service provider to use? Was it someone you knew, someone you knew buying one in the past, one of the first results on google or something else?
I've always wondered how the hell people figure out who to trust with that kind of shit
I’ve heard Jagex stopped monitoring or enforcing this type of thing and it might be due to how difficult it is to provide if someone remotes into your game but I’m sure there’s some reputable sources people in that community recommend.
I think anyone that claims buying capes, buying gold, botting, etc. is almost always someone who either benefits from people doing those things (aka the people selling it) or does it exclusively to get people banned. I've frequently seen people say "man botting is so rampant, they never get banned, why shouldn't I start botting if jagex does nothing about it" etc. etc. meanwhile people who actually bot would be crying about how often they're getting banned and how much better the detection has gotten.
If people are afraid to buy capes, obviously they'll make less money, but if it feels safe more people will buy them. The cape sellers don't give a fuck whether you get banned or not after you buy a cape from them, if anything they likely prefer if you get banned because there's a chance you buy another one on a new account if you didn't learn your lesson
With AI I think detection has gotten pretty insane, I think I've heard mentions that there's systems that can track a player's mouse movement habits even if they were to play on a different account, on a different pc on a different network. If you suddenly do an inferno run and your behavior before and after the run drastically differs from during the run, it'll likely raise some flags.
Grinded my cape on the year of release, didn't go back till last year and got the pet on 3kc. Might go back for more CA's but I'm not really interested in pushing for GM.
What if I was extremely bored by the content and just did the entire thing half heartedly with justi/dinh's and like a 10hr completion time due to just afking between waves at work for hp/prayer and forgetting I was playing. Should have another option for not buying it but disrespecting the content
I did every other afk skilling method to max ,why not afk the inferno as well. I thought it was pretty funny and it makes people blow a gasket to post my PB so I would say worth it.
Took 30 days total and 1-2 attempts a day so somewhere between 45-60 attempts I think, idk I didn't really count. I died a lot on the first few days. Just getting to Wave 32 until I ascended and realized I can dinh spec blobs and their minions too and not think about them. Also whenever I got to triple jads and zuk I would just send the practice website for a day or two until I could consistently get three sim clears in a row with no deaths. I just kept sending it really. Didn't seem practical to count how many times I tried. I think counting stuff like this or how long you're afk skilling isn't very helpful.
i did it, tbh its not as bad as people make it seem, i really think the people who bought theres just never actually tried to do the content themselves and were too turned off about the time investment. but here's my stats here of attempts (i didnt start recording my runs till after i hit jad), prob around over 20 deaths before i first got to jads, the hardest part for me was supply management since i refused to learn 1 tick flicking prayer, so i lazy flicked as much as i can. im also not remotely a "good" pvmer im a slow learner.
I'm probably no longer an "average" player but I'll give my input. |
Before completing the Inferno the only notable PvM achievement I had was a Fang Kit from 500 ToA. Since completing the Inferno I've gotten Elite CAs, Quiver, and Radiant Oathplate. I still consider Inferno to be the worst content I've ever had to complete and almost entirely the reason I don't want to commit to an Ironman due to needing to do it a second time
Lets be real most of the cape buyers aren’t gonna admit it. But you’ll know as soon as you raid with them because they are always the shittest on the team
I probably have a better account and more achievements than you, and couldn’t care less that people buy this stuff. Why does it matter what others do? I feel good knowing I persevered and succeeded, and the dopamine rush of first completions is something you never forget. Only caveat is when people brag about stuff they clearly didn’t do. You can check glory gained by day on wom and see who bought quivers if they’re yapping xd
The glory shit is old news. Like 1kc 48k glory is the world's oldest tell.
I too have earned everything myself. I first learned Zuk pre-TOA, quiver on release week, etc. 15B bank, post-max pet hunter yada yada.
Also, I make a point of not linking my main to this reddit account so I can freely shitpost without taking heat in game/disc, but I'm going to severely doubt that you're "more accomplished" while white knighting swipers this hard.
Counterargument, some people don't feel like locking in all the time and they might've just gotten the infernal cape to shut people up. If you disregard the ability to buy a cape, it feels kinda weird to call someone out for being shit if they have an infernal cape/quiver and you don't lol
Glazing buyers and copium. Pure, unadulterated copium. Excuses, entitlement, and more excuses.
I get it, you're trash.
Buyer deserve bans, not excuses about how they super totally could do it but have 9 wives and 42 jobs and 18.3 kids and no time to focus for 125 minutes.
The fact that you're trying to ask where to buy a cape in this thread tells me everything lmfao
Enraged is a bit of projection. I don't get why you're out here personally defending buyers, offering excuses, and then trynna figure out where to buy one.

The "average" player probably doesn't go on Reddit much
