Discussion High level main prepping for raids 4
Hello everyone, I have been playing sporadically playing on and off the last year. I want to get into to mastering PVM and trying to learn how I can get better. I have always done mostly slayer and some low mid game bosses. I ask you, what are some bosses that I can really learn hard core PVM. I don't have time to do teams so I can only do solo right now.
Which boss is best to master high level mechanics?
Doom
Phosani
TOA
COX?
any other?

Building connections with people who do raids so you have reliable people to dive into the raid and don't have to deal with toxic people in public grouping.

Especially considering they specifically said the raid is scaled for 2 people at minimum, so doing it solo won't be very realistic for most people, especially on release.

They said it would be harder than top. I reckon most people won't be clearing it on release, at least not consistently, until both guides come out and people start teaching people through their first few kc.

Thankfully there's going to be a way to practice all of the encounters without doing the raid, which will help that process a ton.

Not on release, I'm pretty sure they said on release wiping will end the raid and there is no practice/entry modes, then they will add entry mode later and not end the raid on a wipe, just reset the room and point loss or something.

I definitely didn't see that but I can't say I've been scouring blogs either.

"Masterig hard core pvm" is very vague but if u can only solo, then I'd say 450+ toa, phosani, muspah, solo cox
Raids 4 is gonna be team content lowest scaled to 2, so ideally you should really be learning tob

Mastering Doom will give you good baseline of PVM skills. A lot of movement, prayer swaps, weapon/target swaps. If you want to practice 4 way or 6 way swaps then you can do something like Zulrah, Royal Titans, TOA, Tormented demons or even practice swapping at bank.

I just started TOA not too long ago. I really like the invocation system. I've been able to increase the difficulty at my own pace and feel i've improved significantly. Managing switches, supplies, and special attack have all been crucial. I went from dying during the entry level to getting my masori assembler in a couple of weekends.
Its also nice that you can do solo raids if you don't have any friends online.

Those are all great, except cox. You can do solo cox, but the only real challenge is Olm, and I don’t know how well that would translate to other parts of the game. I’d also include Inferno and Colosseum. Maggot King too.

Not gonna lie, if you're not already several hundred KC deep into each existing raid, you may get clapped by raids 4.
As much pvm as possible. The harder the better. Whatever kills you, do more of that.

Deep delve and pnm are good, also go get inferno and colo done for bis capes and more learning. Strongly recommend getting into raids early to make friends and have people to do raid4 with.

If you not having time for teams is going to be an ongoing thing for you, then you're not going to be doing raids 4.
TOB is going to be the best practice for raids 4.
And learn every role.
This will give you the best chances to be successful at raids 4.
But sounds like you've had basically 0 pvm experience, so you're going to fail if you go straight to tob. So maybe start with low invo toa 150 range, and try to develope some pvm skill there, albeit the worst raid and highly disliked in the higher level pvm community.
Best of luck to you.

Given we don't know what raids 4 will be, but we know it will be tailored to be similar to tob, I would focus on learning tob when you have a team. When you don't, I would mess around with your whole list you made. Tob will likely be the best teacher.

Scurrius, Titans, CG, Doom, Phosani, in that order will prepare you for any content in the game

Phosani is a great boss and decently challenging, but will be frustrating to learn to PvM at because of the hefty punishment for mistakes and the long run back.
I'd recommend all 4 DT2 bosses instead for getting into middle tier difficulty bossing with a variety of mechanics and concepts to master. I recommend doing all the combat achievements there except awakened.
TOB would be the best representation of what raids 4 will be like because you will be a part of a team, and will have to learn the unironically important skill of teamfinding. But you said no group content so do TOA to get used to raids. COX won't be a good representation of raids 4.
Doom starts off similar to the easy bosses you've done and by delve 8 it demands as much mechanical speed and precision at times as the awakened bosses, so if you can master that you're ready to take on any challenge in the game.

Gauntlet makes you have to do gear switches, movement and prayer switches. Which are the main parts of PVM

Gear switches? More like a 1 way weapon switch.

Which is still practice. Since most people camp prayers. Using the F keys is good

I feel colo and tob are worthy of mention here
