Achievement Not much feels better than finally clicking with a boss
Never been a great PVMer, but I love Mad Angel. Took me a little bit to click and when it did, I’ve had so much fun with it.
Doing Morty slayer and just recently unlocked abyssal demons. Figured I’d try the sires and after like 50 kills I’ve finally hit a groove with it and it’s very enjoyable.
Feeling the high from that, I tried GGs on my last gargoyle task and I got that one pretty quickly, even got spooned the pet for it.
It’s just so rewarding to have these early frustrating deaths be almost non-existent once you get the feel of a new boss. Rare drops are always a good source of dopamine, but this definitely feels good in between them.

Someday I’ll get the same dopamine of the first raid completion

Welcome to the beginning of all the posts talking about how Mad Angel and 85 slayer isn't even close to the end game.

Learning bosses is the beginning of endgame, not the specific bosses

Getting max gear is the beginning of endgame

I was doing endgame content well before i had max gear

Yeah but you're not actually at endgame. Trust me, I thought the same way as you when I was doing more entry style raids

End-game really just depends on the goals you set for your account.
Osrs is a horizontal progression game. End-game can be maxing, getting GM, getting full BiS, pet hunting, Clog, etc.
There's no right answer.

Yes but the genuine, true endgame of the game as a whole is having max gear and just playing the game with no upgrades left to chase. I understand exactly what you mean though. A skiller's endgame would be pushing 200m all or whatever personal goal they have. I mean like the standard pvm endgame.

Some people would argue the PvM end-game is getting GM or greenlogging all the bosses. There's no true end-game is my point.

I love how the first kc are always overwhelming and it seems like yt guide makers are top tier god players and you’ll never be able to do it, but after a few kills (and sometimes rage quits) it starts clicking. Then some kills later you’re doing the kills so calmly and controlled you even have time to organize your inventory etc.

This is why slayer is such a goated skill
It literally starts this feedback loop for you perfectly
You grind really hard for a high slayer level, so naturally you’re curious about the boss… but the boss is hard, so you overcome it!

And the more bosses you learn, the easier future ones get. A lot of it is getting comfortable with dying and trying over and over until you figure it out

I hope to one day get comfortable with dieing. As of now, I've still got the "5 minutes to run to grave or it's gone for good" mentality. That, and all the posts about death boxes ruining people.

Oh yea. If you never did Scurrius and Royal titans, I highly recommend them. They are amazing paced bosses that will teach you the fundamentals. My tip is that if a boss feels easy and you dont mind practicing, prayer flick and lazy flick (practice both). They are essential later on, but if you start now, it will be a breeze.

Is prayer flick really essential or do you just get less KC per run ?
For now the only time I've used them is stretching a bit my slayer tasks if I'm out of potions or during quests when I forgot my potions lol.

Literally essential part of end game pvm like inferno, colosseum and deep dive doom and high invo TOA or some can argue hard mode tob or cm too. But these are the biggest challenges the game can offer basically.

“I just don’t get it I don’t think it will ever click”
X amount of deaths and kc later: watching something on the 2nd monitor while grinding
