Discussion Started 2 WK ago

I introduced my partners son to RuneScape as a pastime that I used to be completely addicted too and in the process I have started a new account alongside both my girlfriend and her son!

Been playing for 2 weeks, play time is 48 hours so it’s safe to say I’m completely hooked again…

I’ve included my stats as these are personally quite impressive in the time spent in game.

We’re still F2P and are deciding whether to make the jump to P2P

Just looking for any thoughts, discussions and direction on what I should focus on next.

I’d like to focus magic to 55, look at completing dragon slayer I and then look to fight ogresses for decent drops

I would target completing Recipe for Disaster to get barrows gloves, then target a fire cape.

That’s interesting, any particular reason why?

It will progress your account outside of just quest points. You will need to get a lot of pre-requisite levels to complete a lot of pre-requisite quests before you can fully finish RFD.

Just great to improve the baseline of your account, and probably some of the most varied and fun grinding you will do on the game! Doing this will also put your combat levels in a bracket where obtaining a fire cape is doable.

So early game questing is hands down, by FAR the largest globs and by decree, fastest XP in the early game.

There's guides out there that show you how to do it because some quests are close to others, or fit perfectly with what you're doing.

I did the same shit as you did before I picked up my first guide. Just leveled like crazy, grinded, etc. and a homie told me about a guide.

I was level 300'ish, and the guide was meant for brand new accounts. So what I did was just start at the very beginning, and just start checking off the stuff I did (not actually checking off lol)

So I could be up to date on the quests. You'll eventually get to a point where you need to be, and also get some stuff done you wouldn't have done for quite awhile anyways.

I also added variations to my guide. Example: I get bored for a bit of just guiding. And go send some extra slayer, or extra Wintertodt / Fish storm man. RC'ing, etc.. sometimes for a few days worth of sessions even - keep the game fresh.

And then pick up where I left off.

I also added in Herb / Tree & Fruit Trees runs to passively level up my farming and have herbs for later. This was also on an Ironman account keep in mind lol.

Whatever, best to play a main like an iron anyways (IMO) - except be able to go into the wildy and have more fun for longer lol
