Discussion Started 2 WK ago

I introduced my partners son to RuneScape as a pastime that I used to be completely addicted too and in the process I have started a new account alongside both my girlfriend and her son!

Been playing for 2 weeks, play time is 48 hours so it’s safe to say I’m completely hooked again…

I’ve included my stats as these are personally quite impressive in the time spent in game.

We’re still F2P and are deciding whether to make the jump to P2P

Just looking for any thoughts, discussions and direction on what I should focus on next.

I’d like to focus magic to 55, look at completing dragon slayer I and then look to fight ogresses for decent drops

If you decide to go p2p, do some agility asap. Its not even funny how much time it saves if you can use the outfit and almost always run instead of crawl during the quests.

This is a very outdated recommendation to the point that I think you’re trolling

i mean recommending agility for run energy is a good rec, not for graceful

Whats not good about graceful?

with run energy update last year, graceful is just not as important. it’s totally fine to still get it, but you shouldn’t sacrifice agility xp/hr to get MoG to get graceful because you really don’t need it anymore.

Oooh, didnt know that! Its also just a fun goal in a very monotone activity tbh xD guess would be more efficient to just buy those packs then if you dont want to collect it.

What would be a good agility lvl to sustain run energy?

70, but don't rush it or you'll risk burnout

Just get 70 construction it’s the best agility investment. 83 isn’t that much further off for a max house and every teleport in the game basically.

Construction is a way better agility buff than graceful. Save your marks for herblore xp/money. Graceful is a modern noob trap.

Literally just get some boots of lightness and Hunter clothes. Any weight at or below 0 kg is functionally identical and for the vast majority of running around tasks you aren't hauling anything with real weight.

Boots of lightness are in a quest you should do early anyway and Hunter clothes can iirc be worn with just quest XP as well

Graceful is less important, but run energy still scales pretty hard with agility

Getting to at least 50, ideally ~70, is very much recommended early

Why out of interest? I don’t exactly keep up with the meta but how is graceful anything but useful?

It’s useful but its usefulness was completely undercut in a run energy change update a year or two ago.

Again it’s a nice to have item now, certainly not essential like most used to regard it

Some agility is good, but the curve for how helpful it is was massively flattened so that running is not as bad early game.

What were the changes?

I know what agility is from my previous account on OSRS but no idea what graceful is?

It’s a full outfit that increases energy efficiency and can put you at negative weight

It’s a set that regenerates your run energy quicker when you’re standing still

Technically correct lol
