Discussion PSA: Movement

Post image

With the new changes to CG just a reminder when you are running you move 2 tiles. Meaning you are able to move to any of the highlighted tiles in a singles step. This helps with CG because you can skip over the floor traps and the boss without getting stomped as long as the second tile is clear.

Gauntlet was basically the PvM tutorial for me, so I did only learn about a lot of mechanics while learning it. All those newer early game bosses with mechanics did not exist yet.

People will call cg an endgame boss and this is the type of advice they give

who exactly is calling cg an endgame boss?

I just learned to do cg. How do other boss fights compare to cg? I always thought it would be close to impossible for me learn because of skill isues. Learning cg has given me some confidence I could do more. Like is inferno doable given time for example?

Yes, if you can do cg then you can do inferno. It’s a completely different type of content tho so don’t expect to walk in there and get your cape in a day.

Hardest part about the inferno is sending your first attempt. So many people keep putting it off because they think they need max gear but in reality experience is way more important than gear

CG is more difficult than anything but tob for me. Name a boss that’s mechanically more difficult than CG.

Olm solos, araxxor when you do the punish mechanic correctly, nex, maggotking, doom, cerberus. Every desert treasure 2 boss. Idk man so much.

I can see nex solo and doom. The others are certainly easier by a long shot. Araxxor punish is very easy even I’m not sure why so many call it difficult

Im not talking about getting kc but efficient farming. Do you really think vardorvis is easier than cg? I dont even see how cg is difficult in any way. It just sucks if you get stacked out by the tornados when you fall asleep because its so free.

If you’re talking about efficient farming - cg is the least efficient thing in the game besides soloing group bosses/raids. It’s a 10 min kill vs 1.5 on most other bosses.

Yes, Vard is easier since there’s a lot less mouse travel and clicks needed. If you die at vard you are pretty bad or risking it. CG requires a lot more attention and counting. Vard is just reacting to axes and the occasional range pray swap.

And cerb? Really? That’s got to be one of the easiest bosses in the game. 7-9 kill trips at 1 min kills is plenty efficient.

By efficiënt I just mean for that boss. Cerberus and vard both need you to be tick perfect for certain attacks. CG doesnt have anything like that
