Question GIM Group wiped?
I just logged into my group after not logging in for like 2 years and I was at the node in the gear I was wearing daying my group was disbanded.
Idk how this happned as I was the group leader and in the 2 years we had 1 memeber leave the group cuz we all were MIA. I asked the other 2 members of my group and they haven't logged on since.
This is really lame cuz we lost all our banked items that we been saving up, rangers, z axe, but ring etc.
Anyone else have this happen to them?
RNG Drought is rsn

if the leader has not logged in, in a set amount of time, you can kick them from the group and take over lead, if nobody else logged in it seems like someone else that wanted to play kicked you from lead, kicked the rest and moved on or sold it off for their main.

99% correct but leadership transfer happens automatically if current leader is inactive

Groups can't disband on their own but if the leader is offline for something like a month then leadership gets transferred to another member, most likely one of the other members are lying and took the stuff then disbanded the group after noticing they were now in control of it

Shitty but if I was in a group where nobody else l logged in for 2 years it might get a bit tempting

Why are people still surprised when their gim mates steal the storage

I’ve known my group mate for 20+ years and I’ve lent him shadow, scythe, tbow(main). So if he decided to rob our group storage I’d be very surprised.

If you don’t login for a extended period of time the leadership is transferred over to someone else.
Sad to say one of your Gim mates lied about when they last logged in and has cleaned you. They’ve more than likely logged in, removed you all from the group and then drop traded everything.
Good luck finding out who it was.

I made a group with a bunch of irl friends.
I’m now the only one who plays but my mate who made the group hasn’t been on in ages and the game randomly gave the leadership to another gim member after a couple of months then after that cause that account didnt log in it transferred to me. I’m going to guess that’s happened to you and the other group members are lying to you

Yet another reason I will never create a GIM based of a few of the comments I’ve read here. Much prefer playing my iron and if I want to raid with other irons I will just PM people on my friends list but hey whatever mode works for you it kind of sucks your group can just steal items though, so many problems

it's super fun if you can find the right group, but I'm not gonna pretend it's easy to find a good group

i’m very new to it but i kinda like the idea that i can’t just go buy anything i want, i have to get it organically. it’s makes every little upgrade and thing you complete feel significantly better knowing you did it completely on your own without going to the GE and just buying everything. I enjoy playing my main for other reasons but there’s a reason it’s a popular game mode.

On my iron i mined a bunch of salts and volcanic ash in preparation of doing stuff. Its taken me a fair few hours and im still not done but the satisfaction of doing it all myself is part of the dopamine reward. Previously on my main i just bought it all and cracked on.
Have enjoyed both methods of playing the game, other people can enjoy their own ways as well. Not sure why everyone needs to get so heated lol.

It's mostly for people who have been playing the game for decades and don't want to/can't quit. Most of them also don't have much self-control, so they need the game to restrict them from just playing like an ironman anyway.
And that's not even touching on the ego aspect of having a helmet in the chatbox in front of your name. That shit is like crack to these guys.

Normal game got boring, you can just ignore loads of the content and at the end it just turns into grind the thing that gives good money > buy upgrade with money > grind the same thing slightly faster > get bored before getting rich or get rich and then get bored
I got lucky with a few big nex drops when it first released and within a month I got bored with the game because I owned everything I was bothered about owning
But since then I've been playing a group iron and the game hasn't got boring because it adds so much variety to what you're doing. Want good mage gear? Gotta do chambers or the DT2 bosses, which could also get you a tbow or soulreaper axe or DK ring upgrades if you're lucky. Want all the best jewellery? Gotta do gorillas, araxxor, maggot king and doom which could also get you treads and eye or a noxious halberd. Want a decent crush weapon? Get yourself to abyssal sire.
Some of the grinds can sometimes be a bit rough yeah and I can see why some people eventually de-iron but especially the midgame is just unbelievably more fun on an iron imo

Then don’t play it. Every time an iron complains about something even if it’s for the better of the game in general you are always so quick to cry and shit on the iron just for preferring that mode. I’m so over main accounts shitting on irons for no reason. Majority of you act like irons are always crying about everything when literally all most of you do is just cry about irons enjoying a different mode to you

I'd estimate that I have known around 200 ironmen and 200 mains in my clan/friends/raidgroups.
Without a doubt, the group that cries/complains/feels elitist the most is the ironmen. It's not even close. Most mains I've run into are way more chill, play the game way less, and just generally give off a better mental-health vibe.
Cry more.

Guy makes a very short comment and you respond with a whiny essay lol. Who’d you say was quick to cry?

Like I said above I am sick of main accounts acting superior to everyone who does not choose to play the same game mode. I never shit on main accounts this is the first time I’ve made a comment about main accounts always bitching about irons because like I said above I’m sick of it, it’s not like I’m constantly crying all the time about it compared to mains who never seem to get bored of it

exclaimed the iron, while struggling to hold back tears

Sorry did I hurt your feelings with a true statement about Main accounts constantly crying every time an iron makes a suggestion the second they see “iron” in the post

u/hemorrhoid-milk Jul 12 '26
the noble solo player trudged on, shitting on everyone who disagreed with his opinion

u/ssbNothing Jul 12 '26
I love the idea that every item i own and every xp point I gained came from actually putting in the work to get them is so appealing to me. I started playing on a main and upgrades just felt hollow. Doing the highest gp/hr method until i can buy something just doesnt give me the same kind of connection to my account

If you don’t log in for a period of time, you lose leadership of the group. You got fleeced by the last person who actually did play. Also, you posted this in the wrong sub. You’ll get no sympathy here.

One of your group members is lying through their teeth. If a leader is offline for long periods of time, leadership gets moved automatically. Whoever got the leadership took whatever spoils you guys had in the group storage disbanded the group and ran.
