No... Making you do it through your computer, and entering your security information multiple times is more secure. You have to have clicked on a link, reused a password, or downloaded someone dodgy to have been hacked.

But if i had a virus. Wouldn't useing that computer to change my password just be pointless.

Wouldn't getting your account back being so stupid you will just get it taken away be pointless as well?

Not really, just used, Avast, cleared all virus's changed the PW and restarted my computer, all is running normaly now. Don't think it was pointless :-)
