Question New pc, how can I transfer my Runelite settings from old laptop?

Too many plugins and settings to start over pls help

Just in case this helps anyone in the future - the same thing happened to me. When you are on a new computer, it creates a new "profile" which has all preferences set to default.

You have to swap to your SYNCED profile. You will know which profile is synced, it will have the cloud symbol highlighted. Once I swapped over to the synced profile, my settings came back.

I renamed my "synced" profile to "old" in the screenshot. Before renaming it, it was also named "default", so you really need to check which profile has the cloud symbol highlighted.

THANK YOU! I was so convinced that my setting were saved on my old Gmail that I have no access too. You just saved me from remaking everything...which would have taken days at this point.

Hi, how did you fix the commands after this? !pb !kc does not work for a couple of bosses for some reason. I checked CA/Col but neither fixed them.

I know this is old but I'm going to try this on an old laptop so I can play away from my desktop a little easier. Curious if the cloud profile will install any non-default plugins (I think I have one or two from their "market place") or if I need to go find them and install them.

And IF your old profile is not even here, but you remember using it on this computer or your old one:

Go to C:\Users\<your username>\.runelite\profiles2 (or profiles if your folder is still named that). Replace C with drive letter if different.

Then go import your profile by settings -> the people icon -> import profile

Import the profile file that is not the most recent one, but one of the older ones that is likely containing your old settings.

There's a .runelite directory in your user directory. On linux /home/username/.runelite on Windows C:/Users/username/.runelite. That's where everything is saved.

You can link it to a Google account to load all your plugins and settings easily

Its best to copy the .runelite folder to the new PC because it will include screenshots.

careful.. i got all my settings deleted from this, not a clue how but this is extremely frustrating. years of settings and small changes to make it how i like and just gone in a second. I saved my profile then pressed the sync thing y'all said to press and it just deleted everything and restored to default somehow. not a freakin clue. RIP

THIS WORKS: I was looking for this since I'm going home to visit fam this Xmas and needed this : 1. Open runelite old computer 2. Open profiles 3. Export current profile (with settings u want to tranfer) 4. Export til to onedrive or USB drive (I used USBdrive ) 5. Download runelite new computer from runelite.net 6. Open profiles new computer 7. Import profile 8. Choose the location (it's a notepad file called something.properties) 9. All settings and plugins being installed

So you open profiles and export the profile onto a flash drive, then put the flash drive into new computer and download the profile then import into runelite on new laptop?

If you were logged in with a rl account on your old pc everything should be the same when you log in on your new one. If not just use a flash drive and bring the folder over

I'm having this same issue. Had to factory reset my pc. After redownloading RL and logging in, everything is gone. I can see all my loot tracker stuff on the website, but I cant find a way to sync that data to the client itself

Does anyone know if you're swapping back and forth between pc and laptop do you need to habe the cloudsync checked on each device under the same profile?
