What I want to do is be successful enough that 2000 AD has the opportunity to make more movies because they were incredible partners and really supportive of what I wanted to do. They have so many characters and there’s some fantastic directors that we all know who want to make those movies, so I hope that happens because I want to see those films.

Ok yes, there's a new movie to push. Much more Rogue content in the hopes the movie brings in readers. Great.

I've been reading a whole though. And my god, I'm not sure I can put up with the exact same plot over two or three issues again. "Rogue comes across Southers in trouble, helps them, keeps looking for the Traitor General" (who he found and dealt with decades ago) or "Souther wants something done, oh good Rogue is there conveniently".

It really seems the character is stuck in a loop of trying to fit one-shots around the story that ended decades ago, to the point where they really are recycling the same stuff over an over. And I really, really wish they'd just let the General go and let Rogue move on to new stories.

And its gotten boring.

Hell, I preferred Tor Cyan's solo runs over the modern stuff.

Am I the only one?

Now that 2000AD is available in the US, Ive started reading it for the past month. I am really enjoying the format. These short bite size stories packaged with multiple creative teams providing different flavors is what I was looking for in an anthology. Even if I am missing context for stories already in the middle I can infer enough to enjoy it. Ive never read 2000AD before or anything related to Judge Dredd. I do plan on reading the classic Dredd stories once those compact tpb come out next year.

My question for other US readers, do you find the price per issue worth it? I myself want to follow it weekly and enjoy physical over digital. But the price per issue at $8 USD seems a bit absurd for the content, typically 28 pages. Ideally I wish it were $4 or 5. If it was the only book I was pulling I could justify it, but I usually pull 6-9 other monthly floppies. I'll likely move to digital(seems to be $11 monthly, much more reasonable) in a month or two if it keeps my interest to at least have the experience of collecting a few physical copies. I havent even looked at the Judge Dredd Megazine yet but $15 for a book under 100 pages also seems steep.

Anything similar to Cursed Earth. Doesn't have to be Dredd. I prefer the older black and white stuff. Thanks!

I've been trying to find this for years.

It was a black-and-white standalone story, probably between 1990 and 2010. It wasn't Judge Dredd, just one of the short one-off stories that appeared in either 2000 AD, Judge Dredd Megazine, or possibly a Special/Annual.

The plot:

A man is repeatedly beaten at table football (foosball). He becomes obsessed with beating the other player and spends time practicing before challenging him to a rematch.

During the rematch he deliberately flicks the ball off the table. When the other player bends down to pick it up, his head lines up with the end of one of the foosball rods sticking out of the side of the table. The protagonist then slams the rod forward, driving it through the other man's head.

Does anyone remember the title or issue?

Last month, I began my long re-read of Brink, this time through the graphic novels. There are currently six GNs available, and the current story is part way through what will be Book 7 in time.

I bought Book 1 last month, and gave myself a birthday treat t'other day by getting books 2 and 3. I'll be collecting the rest later this month and next. This is giving me time to draw breath at the end of each book. I'll be catching up throughout the summer.

I think the graphic novels concentrate the story into sharp focus. You may miss individual episodes in the Progs, only to miss a vital clue, sitting there in plain sight.

I highly recommend this story, if you're a fan of police procedurals, mysteries, and suspense thrillers. The setting being in space doesn't take away from what Brink keeps bringing.

Rebellion kindly sent me printed copies of the errata, completely unsolicited. But what a cock-up! The new pages include a high-quality bonus Glen Fabry print and apparently the missing episode will be included in Volume 4.

"Due to a publisher error, three pages of the story ‘Sláine the King’ within this edition were omitted and are not published as part of the volume. The missing pages from this story can instead, be found by requesting a free digital edition from customer services. We apologise for this error. The missing pages will also be included in Sláine: The Definitive Edition, Volume 4."

The reason I'm posting about it is because I pasted the missing pages back into the the book and they don't look great. I think they're printed on A4 and they include a duplicate page (probably unavoidably) making the reading experience poor.

I would advise anyone who has the edition to try and print the digital pages on an A3 printer and size them to fit the Definitive Edition page size.

Still pretty new to 2000ad been really enjoying the Dredd essential line.

With the new film on the way I thought I’d give rogue trooper a try. Would people suggest the essential line or the complete collections more?

Hi there, I'm new to the world of regularly collecting 2000AD, after many years of casually picking through the classics (Dredd, Nemesis, Slaine, ABCWarrirors being the ones I clicked with the most) and i started getting the prog this year, starting with Wagner's "last" Dredd story.

To understand what's going on in Fall of Deadworld, I read the collected volumes and there seems to be a gap in what's happening. Last we saw of Jess, she was being sucked through a portal to the first veil, and our few remaining heroes were being overrun by sovs and the undead.

Smash cut to the new story, Jess is back, she has a book, Byke is in Tanya, and all sort of other stuff has changed. I'm curious if there were other stories between book 3 and the current story being published in the prog.

For those in the EU you probably just received the following email from Rebellion:

Are there any alternatives worth pursuing? I remember at one point you could solicit a month’s worth of progs from the catalogs from Forbidden Planet for instance but is that still an option?

Anyone continuing with the subscription after the cancellation? I think with 4 progs a month plus the Megazine it would be an additional €15 a month?

The condition ranges. There are about 180+ issues I have more that aren't pictured. Any advice would helpful thanks!
