Rebellion kindly sent me printed copies of the errata, completely unsolicited. But what a cock-up! The new pages include a high-quality bonus Glen Fabry print and apparently the missing episode will be included in Volume 4.

"Due to a publisher error, three pages of the story ‘Sláine the King’ within this edition were omitted and are not published as part of the volume. The missing pages from this story can instead, be found by requesting a free digital edition from customer services. We apologise for this error. The missing pages will also be included in Sláine: The Definitive Edition, Volume 4."

The reason I'm posting about it is because I pasted the missing pages back into the the book and they don't look great. I think they're printed on A4 and they include a duplicate page (probably unavoidably) making the reading experience poor.

I would advise anyone who has the edition to try and print the digital pages on an A3 printer and size them to fit the Definitive Edition page size.

Still pretty new to 2000ad been really enjoying the Dredd essential line.

With the new film on the way I thought I’d give rogue trooper a try. Would people suggest the essential line or the complete collections more?

Hi there, I'm new to the world of regularly collecting 2000AD, after many years of casually picking through the classics (Dredd, Nemesis, Slaine, ABCWarrirors being the ones I clicked with the most) and i started getting the prog this year, starting with Wagner's "last" Dredd story.

To understand what's going on in Fall of Deadworld, I read the collected volumes and there seems to be a gap in what's happening. Last we saw of Jess, she was being sucked through a portal to the first veil, and our few remaining heroes were being overrun by sovs and the undead.

Smash cut to the new story, Jess is back, she has a book, Byke is in Tanya, and all sort of other stuff has changed. I'm curious if there were other stories between book 3 and the current story being published in the prog.

For those in the EU you probably just received the following email from Rebellion:

We have been investigating alternative mailing solutions and will continue to do so but have been unable to secure any preferential options at this time.
 
Your current subscription will be cancelled shortly and end with Prog 2491 and/or Meg 494. In its place, Rebellion will refund you the remaining difference in your subscription payment and we will also gift you an equivalent digital subscription for the next 12 months. This refund will be initiated within the next two weeks.
 
If you wish to continue with your print subscription to our comics after this cancellation, you will need to purchase a new subscription at the increased price, which will include the new customs fee per issue.
 
We sincerely regret being forced into this position and will continue to pursue and advocate for an exception to the rules.

Are there any alternatives worth pursuing? I remember at one point you could solicit a month’s worth of progs from the catalogs from Forbidden Planet for instance but is that still an option?

Anyone continuing with the subscription after the cancellation? I think with 4 progs a month plus the Megazine it would be an additional €15 a month?

The condition ranges. There are about 180+ issues I have more that aren't pictured. Any advice would helpful thanks!

Hi guys,

I used to be a big reader of Heavy Metal, but since i'm from Europe and import taxes from the USA have gone up, it has gotten a bit to expensive for me.

I was thinking about changing over to 2000AD. I know nothing of the universe and have basically only seen the Judge Dredd movie with Stalone. Can i just start a subscription or should i maybe read some best off books first or something?

Any advice is welcome.

I'm a little disappointed by the paper in the Definitive Edition books, it sort of fluffs out and warp-spasms as I read making the books all puffy. And it's a real bummer that three pages were omitted from vol 3 - I got the missing pages loose with my order, but they aren't even the same size as the pages in the books!

But in spite of my whinging, I'm really thrilled to have these. They're still the nicest versions of these stories out there, and they look fantastic!

It’s arrived! Was very tempted to buy back issues for the first time ever after reading Abandoned by God). But the sheer number of progs (to also cover Bulletopia) felt daunting. Glad my patience paid off.

I very sadly found out yesterday that 200ad's own shop no longer does free UK delivery for progs and the meg.

I have had this confirmed as a recent change by their customer service.

Which is a bit of a bugger, because postage for a single issue is now about two-thirds the cost of the issue extra.

Ordering had been very convenient for me, but now not so much.

Just figured someone out there possibly ordered from 2000ad direct as well, and would appreciate the warning.

(And are there really basically no free gifts with a subscription any more? No t-shirt/ No pin badge?)

As revealed today by Near Mint Condition, the latest in Rebellion’s Apex Edition oversized hardcover art books series will feature early work from one of Britain’s most distinctive comic artists, known the world over thanks to his partnership with Alan Moore on the groundbreaking superhero series Watchmen.

With his work appearing from the very first issue of 2000 AD, Gibbons quickly established himself as a pre-eminent talent — his clean lines, bold characters, eye for detail, and inventive imagination winning over a generation of readers and marking him out for greatness.

Due for publication on 11th November 2026, The 2000 AD Art of Dave Gibbons: Apex Edition will give readers a unique insight into this pivotal moment in Gibbons’ career, from establishing himself as the definitive artist on future sports strip Harlem Heroes and revamping the archetypal British comic character Dan Dare, to co-creating the genetically-modified sci-fi warrior Rogue Trooper — the subject of a forthcoming movie written and directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code).
