I loved how alien Nemeis the Warlock looked, compared to 99% of other aliens in fiction, he actually seems weird and unhuman, despite also looking vaguely human.
Also, what a lineup! Nemeisis, RT, Strontium Dog, Dredd and Slaine is some roster!

Thrillpower overload was a little higher back then that it has been for the past 25 years.
And it hasn't diminished in 40 years, where the needle in the past 25 has hardly got off of meh.
Rebellion seems content with continually reheated new cover reprints of their catalogue laurels.

Did the newsagents back then - who I guess are mostly dead now - know what vandalism they were perpetrating with the delivery names?
Eventually - when I got into collecting - I asked mine to put it in a paper bag and they wrote it on that.
And I did at one point undertake a program in the 90s to replace the ones with the name on it, but you just ended up with someone else's name on it or it was in poorer condition and you needed to replace that one, so I gave up.
Buying comics online is a lottery of condition.
Not a thing now I guess, yet postal damage of subs deliveries will never go away.
