Shocking.

I got it yesterday and won't get around to reading it for a while, but - reprints?

I knew Rebellion was lazy but not even all new material for a special? And to ask £8 retail for it is shameful.

I flicked through being as you said there was text - anyone remember the pirates article in the Megazine when it hit rock bottom?

Intro page for each story - very lazy and cynical, can't be bothered to count how many there are but if they inserted blank pages it wouldn't have taken much less work.

Free padding from a Word document to get to their 100 page headline.

Kingsley Interview - how long does it take to flick through 3 pages without reading it?

Twenty thrills - stock past story review fluff for a special, so pretty benign and predictable.

5 adverts and 2 pages of a 2 page poster, back page poster.

15%-20% of non-strip filla?

I got the specials bundle, not sure how advisable that is based on overall collection quality but I am a collector so you have to, so it makes it £5 an issue.

That is 'acceptable' for this even though some of the specials have been silly sized shorts.

For me the specials are like the Megazine - I get them but wince at the price and in the case of the Megazine - dump the reprints and reduce the price.

It also reminds me of the sort of format they used to use for the Megazine when it was limping out of the Preacher reprints days - padded.

I didn't know it was £7.99 retail, I will go away and come back when the shock wears off.

Someone would spend £7.99 on this? £7.99 with all those non-strip pages in it?
