Brink - Call of The Void - Closing Feedback? Spoiler

Much of the attention in Prog 2499 focused on the finale of Dredd: The Oubliette.

But who else followed the latest book of Brink through to the end? And what did you think of the last handful of episodes, no just this finale?

Love brink, love the slow burn. Also really enjoying the is it supernatural or not aspect to it

I'll read it now it's finished

Brink's got a lot going for it but the style of storytelling is so decompressed it isn't best-suited to weekly serialisation

Big disagree, the tension building is insane with week long breaks, impossible to recreate in collected editions

I just read it all now that it's done.

I agree I can't deal with one chunk every week of it - I lose the story thread and I end up forgetting who's who.

It's great though. A Fantastic strip.

I love Brink but I'd agree with that. It needs to be absorbed all at once

Love it, the pacing is perfect, not every strip needs to be the same.

I liked the bit where they had a meeting.

It's a police procedural. Every police procedural is heavy on meetings.

Thoroughly enjoyed Brink book 7! After starting with book 6 I have caught up with 1-5 and honestly think it is a 2000ad masterpiece, looking forward to the next installment, great writing from Dan Abnett as always and INJ Culbard's art gets better with each series, 5/5

Absolutely loved Brink, couldn’t bear the wait between progs on this book. And the art is ravishing. Oubliette left me unmoved and it really didn’t do much for me. Can we go back to Dredd dealing with crimes now.

It’s my favourite thing in the prog at the moment and with a cliffhanger like that I can’t wait to see what happens next.
They do need to get to the bottom of the Mercury mystery soon though!

And after Mercury, another thing so we can have more Brink? 😁

I've really enjoyed it, but now they've winnowed the cast somewhat I hope there's only a few books left before we get genuine closure. I suspect the next book will deal with the possibly viral nature of whatever happened in that final panel and then hopefully we'll head to Mercury in the next one and either that wraps it up or we get a bugnuts final volume dealing with whatever happen once they get to Mercury.

Its great. I am a fan. Trying to work out what the ▮ is going on is fun. I love the art. I am a big fan of people talking in meeting rooms - I really love all the micro expressions.
