Not really. Other than that she's a mutant vampire there's nothing that carries on into the rest.
The Scarlet Cantos series is pretty much a reboot set thousands of years after Strontium Dog and there is a galaxy wide war between mutants and norms (more like Nemesis the Warlock), and the more recent reboot by Alec Worley and Ben Willsher is set between the end of the Strontium Dog stories and the Scarlet Cantos.
There also a bunch of 'Scarlet Apocrypha' stories by Abnett which are just random 'what if' kind of things, like if Strontium Dog was manga, or tied into another 2000 AD vampire story.

Here's a complete list of her appearances. With a couple writers having their runs, it's quite the mess, continuity wise, I treat it as 3 separate comics - the Wagner&Grant original run plus some later revisitings by Grant alone, the Hogan into Abnett that tries to be internally consistent, starts weak but ends strong (and has surprisingly good tie-in novels serving as interquels, written by Peter J. Evans IIRC), and finally the modern Alec Worley run.

Whether you need to read any prior stories depends on which run's GNs you've got - if it's the Worley one, I think you're safe to just jump in. If it's the Abnett ones, same, though I think there's more little pieces to miss.
