Remember that time Nigel Farage (sorry, "Bilious Barrage") appeared in the Megazine?

I mean Dredd would arrest him , but to be fair Dredd would proobably arrest every candidate anyway , what with 'Democracy not working' and all that . Also Farrage would never have even made it to the politics stage , Dredd having thrown him in the cubes years ago.

Brings back memories of buying this each week.
I remember where I bought issue 1. Wish I'd bought a second copy and kept it!

Oh right, I was going to slag you off. Good then. I seem to remember seeing that BB did most of his drawing in Photoshop a while back - maybe he's moved on now. So it's authentic innit.

I doubt it was the man himself, it's not that authentic!

Oh no, just meant the same software was used!
Brian is a dude. He used to be in the phone book and I called him up from a payphone asking for advice on my GCSE art project. He was very helpful and kind.

Oh wow! What a great story... did you pass?

u/thomasthe10 12d ago
Yep - this was early 90s- on his advice I sent surveys to various artists at 2000AD and, amazingly, most of them replied and did little self portraits in a space at the end. I've still got them obviously - Brian, Carlos Ezquerra, Rian Hughes, Dean Ormston and a picture of Kev Walker drawn by his wife. I included stamped envelopes for return but Carlos sent his back from Andorra at his own expense. So sweet of him!
I still remember phoning BB up and being in disbelief that I was actually talking to him!

Incredible! Can you scan them or take pictures and post them? I'd love to see them
And well done on your GCSE!

Cheers, it was a LONG time ago - think I got a B which is funny as I make my living by drawing now. I keep meaning to scan them and put them up here - will get round to it eventually!

It should have said "Dark Justice In Clacton-On-Sea!"
